  4. Lots of Awesome and intresting facts in this video. The Cherokee XJ saved the jeep brand in the 80s and it just sickens me to see the modern day Jeep corperation using that same name to badge the worthless vehicles of today and thinking they hold a candle to the jeeps of the past. I'm not sorry to say this video choked me up a time or 2. This is what Jeep was built on, and this is what Jeep should always be remembered and associated as!
  5. We knew youd be back,,,,,gotta learn somehow ;) Muhahaha
  6. Any updates on this monster?
  7. Great to hear! I myself am about to embark on the house search game in the next couple months as well. Looking forward to how you make out with the new place and of course finishing up the truck!
  8. Mechanic @ a local family owned shop
  9. Thermostat is an OEM 195 degree (AFAIK havent been in there for awhile). Plugs are Champions RC9YC gapped to the OEM spec of .035.
  10. Always liked this truck, great wheelin shots as well Keep it up!
  11. Havent checked them for alittle while. Truck runs fine though, no high idling or stumbling. Ill go over them next time its in the garage ;)
  12. Working on touching a few other underhood parts up.
  13. I don't really have a question but more of just looking for some insight. I decided to swap out my spark plugs on my 88 Blue truck this evening and I found some moderate buildup on the plugs from cylinders 1and 2. The further back the head i got the cleaner the plugs looks. I read that this condition is called "Ash Fouling" and can be related to deposits that oil and/or fuel additives can leave behind during the combustion process. I have a new set of Fuel injectors that will be installed within a week and will be chaining the oil as well. I'm not wondering if this is maybe a by product of Ethanol blends although I havent experienced this with any of my other trucks. O Well just figured id throw it out there and see what any of you guys thought...
  14. Oops, O Well atleast it wasnt the Engine!
  15. Never understood the reason to go Leafs up front. Its not a horrible lookin truck but would sure be prettier as a more mild build
  16. Nice Truck! Make yourself at home, youll likely be here alot!
  17. The extra wires are likely the Fog light and Cargo light circuits
  18. here's 1 just slightly closer than Colorado. Still a bit of a hike for ya though. http://baltimore.craigslist.org/pts/3651754276.html
  19. Always enjoyed reading your build thread, and the truck has evolved very nicely from when you 1st graced us with its presence. Great Job!
  20. can't go wrong with Colorado Red. I think you made the right choice.
  21. Easy way to check the EGR is while the engine is idling activate the plunger and see if it stalls. If it does stall than your EGR is working properly. Just for kicks, pull each of the 6 spark plugs and recheck the gaps. I had a low RPM misfire that was caused by a smashed spark plug ;)
  22. If you decided to duplicate a few posters, mark me down for 1!
  23. Sweet!
  24. O Joy O joy......sorry to hear this, but i do feel your pain. Glad to be in a small shop atmosphere over a dealership right about now :p
