  1. Great work. Refreshed parts always look amazing and sometimes you even feel bad putting them under the truck and outta plain sight.
  2. Cool stuff
  3. After last weekends antics Ive had to change gear oil in both axles, replace the rear pinion seal and replace the air filter. No more mudholes! Ill stick to climbing hills and bashing rocks
  4. Got the Jeep moved to the garage this afternoon. Should hopefully begin tearing into it in a week or so.
  5. Awesome stuff! Id love to get out there some year!
  6. Well they say alittle mud is good for a Jeeps soul now and then.....Its been years since Ive been into a mudhole but i just couldnt resist last night. :laughin:
  7. A part of me agrees with ya. but the fact that the worst part of the Dodge is the body helps my motivation that much more.
  8. Alright fellas, the critical 2nd part to this project has made it home! Now its up to me to get this project rolling! :jump: 1989 Dodge W250 series pickup. 12 valve Cummins Turbo Diesel, 216k miles but VERY healthy. Automatic trans with 10k on rebuild. Dana 60/70 axles (fresh rebuild on D70) Professional built custom 1 Ton springs, and most important.....a Solid Chassis! Just what ive been looking for! The J20 heads to its home @ the garage tomorrow and within the next week ill begin the tear down process. Keep checking back, this has only just begun 8)
  9. Not so much ease of swapping but ease of keeping it going. Minimal electronics and the dependability. My uncle and cousin (who are also my neighbors) are as big into the Cummins diesels as I am Jeeps so I have all the knowledge and expertise Ill need. My end goal is to build a simple, reliable, built to work and unique kinda truck I can be proud of for about 1/3 of the cost of a brand new diesel pickup.
  10. A Bit of life into this project! Ill be picking up a donor for this to begin to take shape on Friday evening.....Pics to follow! :D
  11. Another beautiful day, a few more weeks till my 1st car show but till then Ill just cruise :) Took another attempt at some Railroad action shots this afternoon. Also met with the family for Easter today, and my Uncle had his MJ out and about as well.
  12. Great Job, Thats a well done MJ!
  13. A actually saw a Golden Eagle themed MJ a few years back.....it was beautiful but it evaded me as I turned around to catch up with it. Never have seen it again.
  14. Seeing pics of this truck never gets old.
  15. Am i the only 1 offended by this post!? :rotfl2:
  16. An awesome build for sure!
  17. Now that is Awesome! If i was to build up a CJ/Wrangler I also would look for a CJ-8.
  18. Well i havent been in this thread much. The truck has been doing very well though. My Pap drove it for about a month while his Dakota was being repaired and he complimented on the power atleast 4 times. Haha. Anyway I pulled this thing in the garage this afternoon and threw on a set of Load Handling shocks I bought dad for his Birthday. Now he has the task of testing them out!
  19. Try bumping the floor shifter up a time or 2 once its in park. I have this issue with Oscar from time to time
  20. They were an OEM option. I bought 1-2 sets off ebay but I believe theyll only fit the later style OEM lights which i can't recall the make or part numbers at the moment.
  21. I did what I could to convince him otherwise.....lol. Its still a very nice truck and turns alot of heads. For those who don't know the green part of the Eliminator decals is color matched Hunter metallic green, I did talk him into that so even though it may not be the dominant color on the truck anymore, It will always be part of it ;)
  22. Somewhere at some point i believe I head that there were Dark Blue Eliminators available in 1991-1992? I have never confirmed nor denied this statement though.
