I'm headed north to center city,MN to Dirtbound Offroad again. November 29-december 3. I'll be in my short bed dodge pulling my 18' car hauler with my XJ on it. Not a whole lot of room or a whole lot of extra time, but here's my route.... Does anybody along the way need a hitch, or seat brackets or rollbar brackets or anything? Or need anything hauled north or south? I'm going to Dirtbound to meet with Max again and talk over some ideas on parts and things. I'm picking up some bumpers hes got for me and I'm using his lift to install his 3 link kit and I'm lifting my XJ more while I'm at it. Hes got a lot of information and I've got a lot of stuff he wants to hear also. Should be a fun weekend. Might do some wheeling. Hope it's not too cold. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

I have a set and they fit horribly. Not using them. Making my own, well for production. Here's my post about making some here soon in the process now. Hopefully by first of next year the prototypes will have been tested and I can start selling em https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://comancheclub.com/topic/56437-scar-fab-frame-stiffeners/&share_tid=56437&share_fid=53169&share_type=t Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

First pic Is where my custom bumper sits below tailgate (1.5") Send pic is from tailgate to top of cross tube of hitch (7") Third pic is from tailgate to bottom of cross tube of hitch (9.5") So you have roughly 9.25" from tailgate to top of reciever. And from your measurements, it looks like the bottom of your bumper is about 7.25" from bottom of tailgate. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk -

Due to steel prices going up, I'm unfortunately gonna have to raise the price on hitches here soon. I've currently got enough parts for 2 more hitches at the original price of $190+ shipping. After these 2, the price will go up to $210+ shipping. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk -

That's what saveeveryjeep said too... but I don't see that much of a demand for it. don't need 2 companies making it. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk -

They have 10 gauge or 3/16". I havent 100% decided on thickness of mine yet...leaning towards the thinner 10gauge though. Thickness difference is about as much as your rocker panel thickness. Less than 1/16". And when its welded on 2 sides of the frame in a bunch of places, I don't see anissue. Someone may argue to change my mind, this is all new to me too. But currently my front crossmember tie in and complete front to rear frame sections are being drawn up. They use some of others' ideas and some of my own for how I think improvements can be made. I've got 2 members picked out to do test fits and to weld them on for feedback. Should probably be first of the year when they're finalized. I'm trying to produce The Best Fitting Comanche Frame Stiffeners On the Market. Thanks guys. Leave your opinions in my other post about frame stiffeners. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk -
I'm currently making frame stiffeners and kinda making this same thing. I'd suggest to you to have these wrap under the bottom side of the frame rail too The frame cracks a lot right there. When I was designing my stiffeners I covered a lot of this area... Another thing I'd suggest, that I'll do, is make the steering box holes, where the spacers go, as big as the outside diameter of the tube. So you don't hsve to center the tube over the bolt hole, it's already centered when you drop the tube in the plate. And price isnt too bad. I'd see if they fit in some kind of flat rate box. Shipping across the border might suck. I know it does for me. Maybe find out generic shipping cost and add that and round up in your price. Easier than figuring everybodys shipping. I have the rustys 4.5 spring kit. It's a good kit. Leafs are very stiff. I've had em on for 3 years and still stiff. But it's a good kit. I also have a 3" xj lift and like it too Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

Ya, I think someone made those brackets to fit an MJ. I'll have to measure my bumper and clearance. If you can weld, worst case is you cut the bumper brackets and position the bumper to clear then reweld or make new bumper brackets Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk -

Ya, I'll have to do some measuring when I'm at my truck, but pictures of your setup would be great Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk -
Nick, the black visors that I'm giving you are full length and from an 88... My 91 has short visors so I swapped them to 97+ cherokee style. And recovered them in the same black material as my headliner. You really don't even need em in black, just the long style. Can recover them easily. I think I might have some ratty long blue ones, or know who I gave them to, if youd be interested in them to redo.... Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk
