Scar-Fab frame stiffeners!
krustyballer16 replied to krustyballer16's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
PM with pics of your truck, future plans, time line of your progress (when you'll be ready for the stiffeners and how long itll take you to completely install and review them) location. Cuz I need people that I can trust to get them installed quickly and honestly review them. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk -

Scar-Fab frame stiffeners!
krustyballer16 replied to krustyballer16's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Only differences I've found are couple different holes between in some holes. Nothing major. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk -
So I've been working on MJ frame stiffeners, lwb and swb. I've almost got the design finalized and then in the next few weeks theyll be cut out and formed. I don't have a built jeep to put them so I'll be looking for a person or two to test fit and try them out. So I'll be taking applications lol. I don't have any pictures or anything yet. Theyll be from front of the frame all the way to rear. Theyll have some things that other brands don't have. I haven't looked at every year of MJ to see if there are any differences but I have an 86 LWB, an 89,90 and 91 SWB here Not sure on price yet. I can try to answer questions anybody has right now.... Let me know guys. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

These are copies of factory brackets. You can trim a piece of whatever to fit em. I may send a pattern of a factory one on paper with them just for people that don't have factory flaps Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

They're not anywhere close lol. I bought one from them for my blue truck. Them, C2C and another company all don't fit at all. So I cut em up and made my own Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

I know I can't do the very corner of the cab corner, the rounded part. But i can do the flat section just above that And ya, rockers might be tricky. Maybe not. I'll have to see what the engineers at work say. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

I have an 88,90 and my blue 91 sitting next to that frame. I'll have to see how it compares to the 86 long bed. But black Betty is an EARLY 86. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

Yay! Deal! That'll probably have to wait a month or so. I need to cut em out of my junk xj too. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

Theres 10 sets there. 3 for you and supposedly the other 7 are spoken for. Cheapest rust prevention option. At least theyll last as long as the truck... Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

I saw some slight differences. Black Betty ('86) is missing some holes in the frame that my others, up to 01, have. I'm sure every frame is different. That's why the stiffeners out there don't fit well. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

This was today's fun... Will, saveeveryjeep, let me borrow some frame stiffeners he had bought and hadn't put on yet. That's also the mj frame he gave me... This company's stiffeners fit like $#!&. So I'll throw this frame on the table in my shop and go to town and make, hopefully, perfect fitting stiffeners. Will and I talked about incorporating other things into them too. And we got to looking, not a lot of bolt on brackets account for stiffeners if you have them. So you have to modify them to fit. The plan is to try to make kits for things with and without stiffeners... ( pictures show LWB stiffeners on the SWB frame) just curious how stuff fit. Will thinks he has the swb pieces also. This will be a fun project! Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

Anyone make good replacement rockers?
krustyballer16 replied to 1989 comanche mj's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Negative. You'll have to make your own like I did out of ones out there. Gotta cut em apart and weld em back together I'm gonna try to see if I can have them reproduced though Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk -
Anybody got any of the xj and/or mj floor braces that are always needed after floorboard replacement that theyd wanna send me to copy? And decent factory rockers thst hsve been drilled and cut off the truck. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk
