Nutter bypass and an Affordable Fuel Injection setup (Howell sucks) are all you need to have a very dependable driver. At times I miss my CJ5. The super short wheel base was too sketchy for me. I will be building a YJ7 next. I'm very jealous of that top. It is worth more than the Jeep!

I hope it lives on and some loves it as much as I did. It was a pretty truck.

It was still running just wouldn't stay in torque converter lock up past 1/4 throttle. It also went into limp mode twice on Saturday pulling the MJ. That is the same issues it was having before it got rebuilt the last time. They also just gave me wholesale value for it. All they did is wrote down the VIN and made me the offer. I took everything out of it that I added. Gauges, brake controller, stereo system, and a few other things. I didn't need those things because the new truck has them all factory. I paid for them and they were mine. The didn't factor them into the price so I kept them.

My 08 Long Bed Mega Cab ate another transmission towing John's MJ to him on Saturday. No big deal, I had it built and it came with a 36 month warranty. Or so I thought. The prick that built closed shop and I was out $5000 for a transmission. After thinking long and hard about it, I traded it in to the dealer Tuesday night. There was no way any bank would finance a 10 year old truck with 202k on it. I got $15k for Meg on trade, $6500 in rebates, 1.9% interest, $950 worth of tracking system and lifetime nitrogen fill for free. They also gave me $1500 towards my taxes because they didn't want to drive to the Arizona border to sell it out of state. I picked up a new 2017 Ram 3500, 6.7, Aisan automatic, 4x4, Crew Cab, air suspension for a great price of $41,434 out the door. I also got them to toss in a extended warranty. 8/125k power train for free. All and all I'm excited about the the truck. It doesn't have the curb appeal that Meg had but I know I'll be covered for the next 8 years. Please say hello to Grayce.

That's exactly what I said. I'm happy I got to see an old friend again. John is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I got to drool over his Corvair convertible. My goodness is that car clean! I'm happy to return the favor to him for the SnugTop he gave a few years ago.

Just got a 21 circuit wiring harness for $85. The 48 needs one and I couldn't pass up the deal.

I was but my kids are in Georgia along with my Grand Daughter we haven't even seen. I don't want to continue missing things I shouldn't.

You and I have very similar tastes. This is the look we are planning on. Only difference will be wood bed rails.

I finally got my custom wheel spacers in. I crossed my fingers and hoped I measured right. I did. The 20x10 Foose wheels fit perfectly. I have a 1/2" between the wheels and the sheet metal. With that sorted I ordered my tires. I'm hoping it will be driveable by late March.

That was the plan. I miss my kids terribly and we just had our first grand baby a couple weeks ago. I have put my career first for 25 years. Now my family will come first.
