well i finaly got the manch fixed , working on the ground sucks and i hope never have to do the trans or anything like that on the ground again , for a wile atleast . man I'm spoiled at work  welded up the cracks in the clutch fork and then made a plate to reinforce it , my first plate i made was made outa 3/16 plate but i decided not to use it because it was a heavy mofo so i made a new one outa some plate that was just over 1/16 and it felt much better and wile the trans was out i wanted to paint it with something that was tuff and non porous so grease , oils and mud wouldnt stick as much and make cleanup easy so i painted the trans with some por 15 , and boy does it look purty  and to top of the fix i replaced the rear main seal that was leaking and installed the new clutch kit that i picked up for it years ago. the old stocker on top and the new centerforce 2 on the bottom

Well i love my weber genesis silver that iv got but its only a 2 burner and i wish i got the 3 burner like my dad has but mine was still like 400 bucks and the others that i liked were 100-200$ more if i member right (been 5 years). Many of my friends have some offbrand stuff that work quite well and they are all 3-4 burner grills . i don't have an exterior stove top burner but kinda wish i did as it would come in handy with things that are messy like frying and stuff but that can be added later . mine does have some nice nonstick grates i think there called "flavor bars" or something and they are verry nice , i realy don't like the stainless ones as they tend to stick like mad and they seem to need to be seasoned more often and what ever u do get a spare tank and keep it full caus theres nothing worse than running out of gas wile cooking, trust me .

2.8L Automatic - What's balanced?
86FUBAR replied to Eagle's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
As a matter of fact the bellhousing on my 2.8 AX5 does have the hole for the cps and the bolt holes are threaded as well , its funny this is mentioned though as iv been in and out from under the hood of the manche so many times i never noticed ( at least as i can rember) that the hole is there and it is quite visible from the top side . needless to say the hole is geting a sheetmetal cover made to keep mud out. -
Ya , i snaped some photos yesterday , but then i later found that my memory chip was full and all the pics i took didnt take , but i will try again later. thanks pete

OTK with RHD drag link (How do thes angles look?)
86FUBAR replied to DansGreyMj's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
first off , toss what ever crap u bought and do your self a favor and buy the JCR OTK kit and be done with it , if thats not an option then put on the stuff u got and start saving for the JCR kit. this is how i ran mine and i had almost no bump steer , i would have left the track bar like it was but it was severely limiting my flex so it had to go. and this is how i modified it i realy felt no difference in how it drove on the street but it weeled much better -
Better Roll/Brush on Coating???
86FUBAR replied to ComancheKid45's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
well in my need for more info on the POR15 i started to do some searching and i came across some great reading . they talk a little about the POR15 POW-R-LINER on the second page near the bottom but its all great info , its mostly about the profesional stuff but still good food for thought. http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forums/i ... inions-no/ yup that is a good deal , i realy want to see this stuff in action , if only i had the money -
ok , after pulling the trans on the manch to figure out why the clutch wasnt working i found 2 cracks in the cutch fork , i looked into a replacement but it was 40 somthn bucks . i figured ill just weld it up and throw some reinforcements in there then someone asked if its bent ...... and that got me thinking ....is it?... it does have a kindof u shap to it but from what i can tell thats how its suposed to be so does anyone have a pic of one or one they could refrence off of for me ? better i find out know rather than later mason

86FUBAR replied to ComancheKid45's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
this is the stuff http://www.por15.com/POW-R-LINER-KIT/productinfo/PLBK/, i havent used it but it definetly sounds realy good , and its a 2 part mix and i like the idea of the hardner. its also not much more than herculiner -
Better Roll/Brush on Coating???
86FUBAR replied to ComancheKid45's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I voted hurcliner but if u could afford the extra few bucks it would cost to have a quality bedliner sprayed in then thats the way to go . i have the duplicolor crap in my cab on my floors thats been there for about 9 years and it sucks, started chiping as soon as it dried and it sure wasnt from a lack prep as i spent 2 solid days with a sander / wire wheel and degreasers though there are a few diehards on here that think that stuff is gold . shortly after i did the cab the hurcliner came out and i did the bed with it and the results were more pleasing though it still comes nowere near the quality of the profesional stuff . If i were u i would try the POR15 bedliner kit they sell , caus if its anything like their other products that we all have come to like and depend on so much then then try it. -
Thats alot of damn pellets to be puting in a tire , the ones from http://www.innovativebalancing.com/BigTirechart.htm are ceramic so it should take a whole lot less though I'm sure they both get the job done but i think it might be a pain in the but especialy when the 47" pitbulls need 20 oz per tire .
-
Well i managed to get the trans and t-case droped today and in side i found the shift fork with a big crack in it , now that its out I'm starting to consider swaping in a 700r4/231 combo that a friend had laying around but before i go any further with that i probably should call and see if its still laying around. i think i got some more thinking to do :hmm:
-
this looks like what I'm looking for ! ya , i was already looking in to the internal stuff before but figured since the tire fit my machine i might as well give it a try

Well here it is ......... dec 16 , 2006

I'm trying to balance some 47-21-16.5 pit bull tires for my buddys "shop" truck and I'm having some trouble. were past the puting lead on (had near 30 ounces on and it wasnt doing anything) and now on to the airsoft beads can anyone find the formula for how much we need to put in or perhaps offer some other alternative any info would be helpfull . thanks mason and for fun http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTMbIuCY ... re=related the truck is a 98 ish ferd 7.3 pumped to the max, it had the Marmon-Herrington front axle but they kept breaking it ,now its got a dana 60 front and dana 80 rear started with 38" TSL , went to 42" irocks now were on to 47" pitbulls

I'm 99 % sure that all the ifs chebys are D-side drop

I was gona do the same thing on my 2.8 manch with a doner 91 s10 blazer but i figured it was easier to swap in a 3.4 v6 out of a camaro , so thats what i did :D now i have power !!
-
Well up untill the other day my 05 rubicon unlimited was the DD but since i cleaned it up so i could sell it so i could buy the new dodge power wagon that i want as the next soon to be DD , so that measn my 75 ramcharger has take up the DD duties once again which is nice and at 6-10 mpg it is kind preparing me for the poor mpg,s of the power wagon :brows: . o and id smash the manche but its still broke :D
