  1. Friendly words of advice: Think twice about posting stuff like this in a public forum and save yourself some big time possible grief. :hmm:
  2. cw isnt that the novak kit ? looks like it is , anyhow , both yalls setups look good but my t-case lever on the case is directly under the factory hole wich dosnt seem to make it easier as i thought and both of yours move the lever forward a ton and that would put the lever on mine in to the dash mason
  3. man this sucks , but its good to have the suport and "resources" of this board . one thing u could do is get a hand writen letter droped off not mailed to his home and or work and this might realy put some fear in his eyes as he would quickly realize that u know people in his neck of the woods and that uv got friends in low places. If i were u and all of this didnt work then i would BURN HIS F#@$&%* HOUSE DOWN , seriously
  4. i want to fab up a new t-case shifter setup to try and simplify things a bit and wanted to see what other people have done , iv got an AX5 207 combo . pics and or links would be very helpfull thanks mason
  5. There is no such thing as perfectly good sheet metal if it gets in the way or can't be used as a slider. Willy yes but when its a common place for rust to congerate and eat these wounderfull trucks alive and what i cut off has absolutly zero rust on it i consider it good metal . but other than that ur right , in the words of the great sawzall gods " If u can't use it loose it"
  6. id roll with the z28 vents turned 180 deg. around
  7. Well both sliders are done the only thing iv got left to do with them is add the kickouts then its on to the exo . the wife showed up just in time to snap some pics of me cuting off perfectly good sheetmetal its funny some of the things u find when working on ur truck , also found some old dime bags from way back in the day :chillin: (not pictured for obvious reasons :brows: ) , and it was all inside of the rocker and thew finshed product i also drilled and taped the passengers slider to use as an air tank , i pressure tested it and checked for leaks and it passed we will see how it turns out but i think it will work well as i built a rear bumper/air tank for my rubicon over a year ago and its holding up verry well with no problems . tell me what yall think
  8. what ? ur kids are prity old and ur now just geting them out , shoot my boy has been bouncing around in his car seat in the back since he was maby a year , but then again he's never been to hollister . hollister trips are usualy for the guys only especialy since none of my friends have kids , we ought to do a family run sometime . anyhow was it a good day out there ? it was all overcast here .
  9. I'm in Monterey . right next to seaside . :waving:
  10. Well iv started on the passneger side rail and it should be all done tomorow , iv also got 200 ft of 1 3/4 tubing for the exo on order and i got 3 weeks to get it done before a big wheeling trip at hollister . i also got the trans fluid in it changed today
  11. Id love to go but I'm gona be outa town on vacation for a week , besides i gota get the other weld in slider done and some stuff , have fun and take some pics!
  12. YUMMM... CUMMINS  iv wanted one for a long time , i had a chance to get a sweat 91 cummins 4x4 lifted in incredible condition some time ago but i didnt :wall: . nothing like buying a new vehicle when ur not working
  13. yup............basically saying the same as me just the opposite way 8) ok so then i should look for some v8 ZJ coils as those are susposed to lift an xj an 1" wich would lift my LJ 2" give or take  , the only problem is trying to find those springs as zj's arnt common in the j-yards around here . i have a feeling that this is going to take alot of trial and error :wall:
  14. ok i got an 05 rubicon unlimited that is gona be in need of some new tires soon and instead of puting some stock tires on it i wanted to bump up to some 32" tires to kinda make it look more porportioned . though i could buy a budget boost for it i thought i might be able to fit my old 4"lift mj springs up front but i couldnt remember how much lift if any i could get by doing this and i remember hearing it here some were . i tried searching but couldnt come up with anything .o and the goal is around 2-2.5"
  15. Thanks guys , it turned out better than i expected but they still aint done as I'm gona add some 1 3/4 tubing to it to kick it out a bit kinda like the toyota Allpro sliders do then I'm building my exo off of all that. also thinking of making the sliders into my air tanks but we will see.
  16. got a chance to work on the manch on sunday so i started my cut out rock rails , I'm puting 2x6 3/16 steel in there. i got the drivers side almost done now i just gota do the passenger side here's what i had to start with , clean rust free califorina rockers  after removing the door i marked were i was going to make the cuts then i started cuting  then the mock up after preping the metal for welding and spraying the inside of the rockers and the 2x6 with weld through primer i positioned the steel were i wanted it and began to weld it all in the bottom is just tacked in along the length of it but will get fully welded later after modifying the hindges i reatached them and hung the door and here is the finshed product so far
  17. I am currently trying to get the samething acomplished on my mj but I'm using the rear D-shaft out of a 82 chevy 1ton , the slip yoke off a 91 chevy auto (still havent test fit the yoke but is suposed to work) . if the chevy yoke dosnt work then i gues i will use the stock one but then that means i will have to get a bastard u-joint for the front as well as for the rear , i could get the propper rear yoke but those cost some bucks and i aint got an SYE yet so ...

  20. my budy came by yesterday to show me the new tires that he picked up for his works "shop truck" , so i thought i would see how they would fit on the mj. 47-21-16.5 PIT BULLS  a little triming and they will be perfict , remember I'm at 9" lift on 33
  21. I got a hp 30 out of a 88 cherokie u can have u just have to come down and get it , it is a disco but there has been much debate on wether it is weaker than a non-disco . iv read / herd they are equal but i :dunno: .
  22. i herd on here some where that it was possible to use one but couldnt find it , anybody know anything into this ? year ,make, model other info etc...
  23. DAMN IT !!!!!!!!! i had a feeling that would be ur truck for some reason , iv wanted that for sometime because it is the same color as mine except for the grill , i think that was ur truck i put some C.C. cards on at OSH a few months back? here's my ride , don't know if uv seen it around but...
  24. Wile i agree that chains can be dangerous i do believe that they have there place but u are intitled to your OPINION. And as for your comment "No welded on tow hooks PERIOD... the welds will not hold" , u are staiting that the weld will fail not the hook break as a result of being welded and in that case then weld on D-shackle mounts that can be purchased by anyone and welded on as they please should not be used or even home brewed as done by u on your own personal vehicle which IMHO yours are to thin but i digress . Anyhow in my experience (and opinion) iv run welded on tow hooks for years and have never had a problem , i think it all boils down to weld quality and personal judgment

My cousins got a larg ranch called the "Glory B" in St Ignatius that i worked on every summer when i was in high school , that was probably the greatest experience in my life , from the 14 hr work days to smashing around in rez rides it sure was a blast . i tried to move up there fulltime in highschool because i liked it so much and wanted to be a rancher fulltime but my parents wernt going for that , and its probably a good thing they did . where exactly u at ?
