  1. Yep...quite incredible. I am going to check it again at the end of this week just to be sure I am right. 8)
  2. OK...I FINALLY had chance to check the mileage after the injector change. As I stated before...the MPG was 14.5 prior to the change. As of Friday, it is now getting 16.7 MPG. Now that did include about 20 minutes of sitting in my front yard at idle trying to make it heat up to check my cooling fan operation so it is likey just a little better than that, but 2 MPG is a good jump for a $100 investment in my book. :D
  3. That is good for storage, but it doesn't help in being able to post pics on here or any forums. I also recommend the external HD for doing back-ups of your system though  .

    Weather WTF

I live in Florida...other than a little change in temp every now & then...it is flat, humid, green & brown year 'round and it sucks. I grew up in NW PA and have seen many 14" snows. I don't miss it at all and would never go back to it, but we do have plans to move up to the NW GA (Blue Ridge) area in the near future.
  5. X2 All I see is a ford wheel & tire for sale... :dunno:
  6. I always use the ProComp ES9000's. I have them on both our YJ & MJ as well as on my Dodge Ram. The yare very affordably priced between $30 - $40 each depending on where you go & who you know.
  7. From what I can see in my look-up system, the pumps are interchangeable from XJ to MJ, but the sending units are not. I can find no compatibility of sending units on any XJ to MJ application between '87 - '90. That doesn't mean that it is 100% not going to work, but it is not likely from what I can see.
  8. I was just doing some cross checking on these suggested combinations and I can find none of them that match up from XJ to MJ. The pumps are the same, but the sending units that they are mounted in are different.
  9. I had considered a 360 swap at one time and even had the donor vehicle ('84 Grand Wagoneer) purchased and sitting in my yard, but after much research, it was just not worth the effort when you can buy a stroker for around $2000 - $2400 and just drop it in and have 300 HP just hook right up. No wiring worries, no exhaust worries, nothing but just swap it out ;) . I sold the Grand and am now just awaiting the time to get the stroker done.
  10. Agreed... I pay the $25 for a year of service that includes plenty of space for what I do and I store A LOT of pics and video.
  11. You're welcome  ...and I did forget to mention the discount thing myself. If you do buy from me, I am able to give a pretty good price at 5% over my employee cost... Plus shipping of course ;) . I am not "advertising" or begging for your business...just offeriing if I can be of assistance in ANY way 8) .
  12. Welll...they must not work for straight commission like I do then because it's worth my time to look up parts...that's how I pay the bills and build my Jeeps ;) I will be happy to help anyone out on here that may need/want something from the dealership. You don't have to buy it from me (but that can be arranged too ;) ) as I am happy to just help find out if it can be found if you need. I have already sold and shipped to a member on here and I have done it many times on a couple other sites that I frequent as well 8) .
  13. That is not even close to the truth. Not saying that there are not parts guys out there that will lie to you as I know better than that, BUT...the profit margin is the same on a 25 year old part as it is on a 2 year old. Certain types of parts have higher margins than others, but unless it is a part that has been on the shelf in the dealership for a VERY long time, they will not ever price something at "little or no profit". The problem is...a lot of guys in the parts departments just don't want to take the time to mess with the old stuff as it is a pain to find/get sometimes. There are a lot of parts still available through the dealership for our trucks...you just have to be willing to be patient to get them sometimes or pay for expidited shipping. Take this "from the horses mouth" as I work at Courtesy Chrysler-Jeep of Casselberry, Florida in the Parts Department ;) :D .
  14. Nah...that's OK. I have never been there and I stay FAR away from that place. It's about a 35 minute drive from my house as I live about 2 miles North of the Orlando Interantional Airport.
  15. If you are going to be near Orlando...bring mine along ;)
  16. I guess one of these days I will just have to start investigating it myself. Mine is roken and leaking on the floor, so I have no choice but to either live without it or fix it. Like I said...it's not a big deal here in FL, but it just irritates me when thinks are not working as they should.
  17. That would be these as I understand it (the 24lb injectors)... http://www.precisionautoinjectors.com/p ... oductId=11
  18. I know he said that he didn't have many in stock yet for the '99 - '04 4.0L applications. He has been in NY helping his father get caught up on building injectors and trying to find more cores for your application. He should be able to respond soon with info on the availability.
  19. It sounds like a good plan. 8) I am not 100% sure of anything anymore after all the time I took to research mine and still have not come up with a workable solution yet though ;) .
  20. He has been out of town for over a week. I believe he should be back today though. What engine is in your Jeep and is it an XJ or a WJ?
  21. Is that a replacement? If so, do you have a Part number? Thanks Wade Sure... Part# 53001101
  22. I made that mistake too. I just pushed in back in and left it alone and it works fine as once it is installed back in the dash it can't move anyway.
  23. In 1987 there was 3 different clusters used  . Only one of the three is compatible with later year models unfotunately. It appears that you will have to either do a little research and figure out how to re-wire your harness to make it work or find another cluster that matches up. It looks like you have one that is not compatible with any other year than '87  .
  24. OK...I went and looked up a 207 since every Jeep that I have owned or worked on has been a 231. Yes...that would make the difference and the switch is on the front of the shift shaft instead of the rear so it would be a little harder to get to, but not impossible to do with the case in the truck.
  25. Mine is an '88 but I have never see one on a Jeep be in a different place. I have changed them on many different Jeeps and they have all been in the same place. It has to be on the end of the case where the shift rod can push it. I have not worked on an '86 before and I know that they used the V-6 engine, so there is obviously something different about the t-case that I haven't seen.
