'88 Eliminator... Feb. 2009 - June 2026

2006 called. It wants its Kenwood deck back. Wrong dash bezel also. This came out of a ‘96 XJ because I needed one and that’s what I could get in good shape. So? I had a good factory deck that I did the auxiliary input mod. Added a USB port and got rid of the lighter that has never worked. Nope… none of this keeps the leaking fluids in it that I should be fixing but… wha’ev’s. -
More timber slinging again. All of the landscaping slopes towards the house. Another annoyance is the “this way or that way” situation to get up to the road. Lots of moving dirt today. Looks decent but it’s way too low and all of the mulch ends up on the path. All of it is getting replaced.

I saw it. Motortrend isn't the content that I was paying for when I originally signed up and I think this show is part of the downward spiral that's pushing me away. It was entertaining to a point and the truck had some good parts thrown at it. I would've rather have seen the overall higher quality of the finished truck but there's the all too common, "We've got five days to get this build done!" Why though? Why can't these shows produce a good product that takes the time it takes without the goofy commentary along the way? Harrumph.

No need to pull it. Just curious is all.

More so the wiring to make it work is what I’m wondering about. Do you have a diagram?
-
Finally finishing out the compressor room. Needed three sheets of material. I really need to at least fix the axle seal in the truck.

Could you elaborate on what’s going on here?

Hu! I should do that with my setup. -
Had another look at the prop valve in my parts pile. MJ... it's from an MJ. Go figure.

Time to start thinking about sparks/dust control. Started with just one heavy clear shower curtain. Might add another.

Wait… don’t you have the wheeling rig you’ve been trying to sell? Not judging… we all do it.

Sweet! Welcome aboard! -
Non factory graphics but the body looks great minus the hood. Good deal. https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/d/denver-1989-jeep-comanche/7516671010.html

This has been bugging me lately too. Could’ve sworn I had something lined up for that. Oh! So that’s where I left that switch panel! Also going through my pile of parts finding things to piece together a rear tire carrier. -

There’s so much more room in my shop with this in here instead of my truck! The CJ got granted shop access because the other day I noticed the radiator overflow bottle was falling apart. It had a couple tabs at the top that it hung from. They decided to give up. In its place I installed a smaller unit from my parts pile. Then I got looking at other small stuff that bothers me. This started with the hood latches that were bolted down backwards… … and then I cut my leg on the winch cable for the last time. Much better! -
Good point. I don’t recall if I did anything with the grounds in the cab. On the note of bushings, I put in new about ten years ago… I think.
