  3. Been a while since I've done anything with this... probably because nothing has happened with the truck. Problem is, I drive 140+ miles everyday so, sadly, the Eliminator has stayed in the garage since its completion back in October. Very happily, I had an excuse to take it out today! The plow went through and the neighbors decided to avoid cleaning out the end of their driveway... in comes the MJ to pull them out! Granted, it wasn't that stuck... still... why not?
  4. Well, this has been awesome, but the little car is going back home with my brother. We took it out for a rip around the neighborhood with only a few disappointments. There is a massive exhaust leak at the manifold (that's what he gets for using old gaskets) and a bit of a misfire. Anyhow, he can handle those issues, finish the wiring and interior on his time at his place. For those who like before and afters: I think my favorite part of the project was all the little details... Tach. mount (easily removable for when he's not at the track): Fuse box cover, rad. retainer, battery box: Center console: This whole deal has been fun, but I think I'm ready to get my shop back. Three cars in an area designed for two is getting a little old. Keep in mind that it has been this way since October. ... on to the next!
  5. You bringing back mickey hats with everyone's usernames on them? That'd be neat.

    Only One Here!

Wow... I don't think I've ever been up late enough... early enough?... to be the only member online. Hu, kinda feels like sneaking into an amusement park after hours. So quiet...
  8. Sounds like a blank canvas! Check around on vwvortex or vwcaddyforum... tons of stuff there. I think on the caddy site, there are a few lifted builds too. Jeeps are great, but these little cars are amazing for the fact that they are just about street legal go carts! Tons in the aftermarket helps out too, but the custom stuff seems to be just a little more fun. Sure going to be tough giving this one back to my brother... there are only a handful of things I need finish on it and they're all cosmetic. Once my dune buggy is done, I might just need to look into one of these for myself!... perhaps a two door MK1 Jetta with a Rabbit nose.
  9. All in? All done?
  10. *sigh* Too much snow to take this thing out and try and find some dry pavement...
  11. YAY!!! (It lives, it moves... click to see it all!)
  12. Yet another great selection for MJOTM! This is another fine example of "couldn't find what I wanted, so I'm building it" that we see on here so many times. Congratulations and good luck on the rest of the project!
  13. It can't be all that unsafe.... I mean, it does have the vertical stripe of reflective tape! What else do you need?
  14. This one started with the 1.8 from the factory, but the previous owners installed a 2.0 DOHC from a Scirocco... but that wasn't enough either.
  15. Well... there's lots of pictures. The link is there for everone viewing pleasure. We actually had a good weekend with this little car... everything works but the clutch!
  16. ^Invoice sent.
  17. Getting towards the end of the month... I've got a bunch still waiting to be claimed! Any last minute interested would be great before everyone in my family starts getting COTM Calendars for their birthdays.
  18. Awesome
  19. Part sent out. Thanks Ed!
  20. ^Another on the way.
  21. :hmm: Well... another will be in the mail. Sorry about that on behalf of the USPS. I'll make it right with you.
  22. ^PM sent
  23. Lights or no lights? This one has a few little knicks on a couple corners but is in good shape overall. Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found I've tried selling this thing a couple times. Each time, I'll get ahold of the person looking only never to hear from them again. :dunno: Anyhow, this thing has been casually for sale for a couple years now. Not really sure on price as it just sits up in the rafters in the garage... pretty much, if you're interested, the price is whatever it's worth to you.
