Yup... I saw that too. Yours is not in the pile of 13. Yours is in a special pile!
-
More going out tomorrow morning... 13 left!!! Let's keep this going before they loose their flavor!

Some of you know that my vehicle preferences are very WWII... Jeep and VW. I've got the '72 Bug, building a Dune Buggy on a '74 pan, and now this thing... my brother's '87 Cabriolet. We're doing a full VR6 swap from a '94 Passat and we're pretty much done with the tough stuff. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.p ... -Cabriolet Should be a blast when it's done... pretty much a classic "big motor small car" type of deal. I just thought it'd be fun to post something a little more foreign!

Comanche of the Month, Jan 2011 --- $500MJ's 1988
neohic replied to Automan2164's topic in Comanche of the Month (MJOTM)
Have to agree with everyone: why hasn't this happened sooner?! Amazing truck! -
Bump... for those who still don't read the stickies.
-
Thanks again and again to everyone involved!! More invoices sent out again. Yeah... it's supposed to be like a chalk drawing...
-
Hey! No looking ahead!
-
First round in the mail!!! 21 calendars left from the first 30... let's keep it going! Who else?! Throw me some PMs!
-
More PayPal invoices sent out.
-
^Agreed.
-
Another round of PMs send out. Thanks again everyone!

Invoices going out!

Alrighty, gang! They are done and they look great! The price needs some adjusting, however... $20 delivered! Strings were pulled, sweet talking was done, and uncomfortable favors were taken into account... well... almost. The price is $20 now instead of the previously decided $25. Happy holidays to all! Payments: PayPal is prefered, however I will also take a cashier's check. No personal checks (gotten burned on those in the past) and no cash (cash can get "lost" in the mail). Upon request, I can PM my mailing address. For PayPal, please send me an address to send an invoice to. Thanks to everyone!

Hold tight everyone! I've got a bunch on the way and I should be getting them by this Wednesday. As far as payments go, PayPal works best for me, but I can give out a mailing address upon request. I prefer to see the final product before I start taking cash from anyone (the first came back with a few flaws). I'll keep everyone informed on what's happening.

Wrong Eliminator graphics for '88 also.
-
I'm fine with it if everyone else is. Should we say $25 to your door?
-
Okay... going to try a trial run. All goes well, I'm ordering 25 and we'll see how that goes. Shipped to your door, how does $22 per unit sound?
-
Ya know... I really wanted to do something like this, but a time crunch came up with planning. Definitely for next year though... there will be more MJOTMs, right?
-
Awesome! This is totally the response I was hoping for! I added a poll at the top... hopefully this will tell me abouts how many to order and for sure work out a price. Edit: no more poll.

Over the past year, a new trend has come up in the Pub section: Comanche of the Month. Since December of last year, we've had the opportunity to see amazing MJs in the spotlight and to gaze at them for an entire month only to be followed up with yet another MJ for the next. Available now, although based on interest, are the first full year of Comanche of the Month members immortalized in calendar form! Great for your shop, office, dorm room... mine is going in the kitchen... these calendars have the same full features of any wall calendar but are enhanced with familiar Comanche charm! Here's the deal... ordering these calendars is based on quantity. Prices are around $750 for 50, $1300 for 100 and so on. In short, the more I order, the cheaper it'll be. As it is now, cost is about $20 to order one. What I'm looking for is interest... lots of it. I'm not sure what the final price will be as of yet, so I'm just putting the feelers out. Thoughts? For your viewing pleasure, a few selections from this year's calendar: Cover: Feb: Mar: Aug: Let's try and make this one happen!

I live in a well lit neighborhood in the middle of town. Granted, I've got the biggest shop in my yard in the whole area, but I've always thought of my area as "a good neighborhood". Word sure spread quickly too. I called my dad as soon as I figured out what was happening since he's he only other person with a key... yeah, not even the wife. He told my brothers and they told people... now my wife's Facebook is lighting up. Hu... I'll wait for a few days to really go out and get new tools, but the plan was for some Christmas shopping today. I'll get just what I need to keep working and keep my fingers crossed. New sign is definitely going up.

The openers are the newer style and I keep the garage doors manually locked from the inside. Hopefully things will turn up. I put together a list of missing items to the police. They stay in touch with local pawn shops for anything that can be identified. Fingers crossed anyhow.
