  1. Thanks! I was reminded today that I need to pull the seats back out. A friend of mine is shop neighbors with an upholstery shop. The backs are fine, but the seat bottoms need some attention.
  2. I was trying to go see the truck this weekend but scheduling didn’t work out. Still on the fence, but I dug out the set of wheels I’ve had. I gave them a quick once over. For how filthy they were, they came up okay. There’s still a ton of sconge that needs to get worked out, but all of them need some kind of attention around the bead lip. We’ll see when I get around to that… I’ve had these for 14 years now.
  3. Bath day. Old truck was starting to look like a field rig. I really need to wax it soon.
  4. First time around the project died on the vine.
  5. Yes and no. I physically have space, but in doing so I know that I’d drive my current truck even less than I already don’t. My heart says yes, but my head says no.
  6. I think what’s keeping me on the hook with this potential deal is my stash of SCCA parts and getting that project out of my system. This truck has the right patina that it could pull off the “rode hard and put away wet” look. Maybe I’ll try and get out that way next weekend and give it a good once over.
  7. I’ve got a TIG welder I don’t need. It’s a Lincoln Square Wave 200 and it’s a good little machine. A friend of mine is interested in it, but not at the price I’d like for it. He proposed a trade for his Comanche. Not sure the year, but it’s a pretty solid truck that needs floors, there’s some rust on each door, but overall it’s a good truck. It’s an Sportruck, 4x4, manual, with an 4.0 that doesn’t run. It’ll turn over, but the story is that one day it quit running and there it sat for the past 6(?) years. Thing is, I need another vehicle less than I need an extra welder. Thoughts?
  8. Again, very excited to see an update! I’ve been following this thread since the first post. Welcome back!
  9. Ha! This morning was my biannual reminder to wash up the clock that lives over the stove.
  10. I’ve been hoping for an update like that! Looking forward to updates again.
  11. Ick… why do I never drive this thing when it’s nice outside?
  12. Oof… looks like a deal to me. Love the saw tooth stripes of that generation Pioneers!
  13. Welcome! Where in Colorado are you located? There’s a few of us sprinkled around the state.
  14. Great deal right there!!
  15. Looks great!!
  16. A 30” is about as big as you can go under a short bed. I removed the riveted in panel behind the bumper to get mine to fit.
  17. Just got the confirmation from the insurance company that I’m good to go!
  18. Thanks! The plan was to do a green door in the spring, but the existing red has grown on me. I’ll probably get enough to do the front door on the house along with the top half of the shed. Hasn’t thought of orange though…
  19. Spicer 706112X for a Dana 44. This part number is for 70’s vintage 3/4 ton trucks and they’re about 5/32” thick. Not sure I’d pull one from a used rig because of their age, but they’re cheap and easy to find.
  20. There… … I fixed it. It’ll get painted in the spring.
