  1. Welcome back! Lol Question- how extensive was it to swap the 4.0 into the mj electronically?
  2. No it doesn't matter about gear ratio... The difference between one and the other is that the 231 is a part time 4x4 transfer case and the 242 can be used as a full time 4x4 Edit- didn't read what you meant... These guys below are correct....
  3. Never mind must've been the cell service...
  4. Idk if it's me but the pics aren't showing up....
  5. Ok haven't switched out the coil or icm I'll order a set Friday once I get funds going... But it hasn't shut off... Sunday I ran the truck for 3 hours about 100 miles of errands and jy runs and not one time it shut off...
  6. Thanks....hope you do score big on wheels and tires... Well I've been driving the truck and the ax15 is flawless... I'm loving it...it can handle a more than the ax5 with the high revolutions through local traffic... I still have to rebuild the Dana 30...ball joints, 1 pce axle shaft upgrade, upper axle bushings....control arm bushings and replace the beat up Johnny joint on the lower control arms... Hubs are timken brand replaced 2 years ago and still in good shape...
  7. The clicking noise is normally a sign of a dead battery... It probably doesn't have enough juice to power the pump to keep the truck running... Try swapping your wj battery in and see how it reacts...
  8. So the throw out bearing finally gave out.... It literally came out in pieces.... Finally found out why I was leaking oil...rubber grommets from valve cover wasn't properly seated...and I did my first sye...did it in about an hour not too bad of an install... Image Not Found
  9. Sweet! Loving it.... Congrats
  10. No I was planning on ordering a set from rock auto tomorrow after I check the junk yard....
  11. So it seems that once the engine gets to warmed up temp. It will jerk/shutoff/ back on then ride smooth....
  12. Rechecked current cps with ac voltage .65 ac Volts while cranking
  13. Yes I've replaced the cps twice and the third one check out good as per your ohm test... And I don't have those brackets/holders on my truck... I have routed it away from the exhaust because my original one burned on the exhaust...
  14. so this morning it didn't shut off on me but it is a bit cooler than the normal.... Idk if that made a difference or not...
  15. Started the truck up and played with the keys, wiggled the keys, moved the steering while moving the keys, replicate the movement of the keys while on a drive and it didn't shut off...I've been doing the past 15mins... It doesn't shut off while sitting idle in the driveway...by far only in motion
  16. Ok how do I know if I've adjusted it correctly?
  17. Ok how do I go about adjusting it?
  18. None of those axles you mentioned maybe the yj are good for the front end swap...those are low pinion axles.... Your better off either looking for a 4.10 Dana 30 from an xj/mj or just regear... These axles are hard to find but you may have luck to find one....
  19. I'll double check the ignition switch after work...the shop replaced that with the icm, ignition coil,
  20. To be honest from personal experience from bleeding the external slave is better to bleed it outside the truck... I busted through 3 slave cylinders where the rod shot out and landed inside the bell housing and it was a ____ to take out.... I just recently did this about a month ago....
  21. Well you can't really expect much from a 4cyl.... It's not a Subaru or lancer to expect 300hp.... But its dependable, gas efficient, and it takes a little to make it look half decent.... I once had 20-80 pound bag of concrete...yes the rear was close to hitting the floor but the engine and trans didn't complain and I drove it 40miles to my destination with no problems Not the best pic but here's a pic of my old one
  22. I had a 98 4 cyl Sonoma ext. Cab with a 5 speed...I loved it...double the gas mileage than my Comanche (4cyl) and WAY more reliable.... In a year alone I put over 30k miles and it still ran like a beast even with 31" tires.... Most common problems was the fuel pump where the rubber hose connects to the plastic line deteriorated and I had to replace it and the valve cover with the internal pcv line up top When it stops working you'd have to source the valve cover from a jy....id still have it till this day but I traded it for a 98xj.....
