http://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/comments/3dme6o/h_windows_10_eligible_starting_july_29th/ Reddit softwareswap is the cheapest place to pick up a legitimate copy of Windows/Office/etc. Or there's always pirating it with torrents lol

Those are what i have on my MJ. Just had to replace the drivers side though, It had developed a dead spot where it would just flop around in the wind lol

Managed to bend my Tie rod yet again, This time it was a V8 grand cherokee solid tie rod. Bent far enough in it was rubbing on the axle lol Bought the Iron Rock OTK setup 1 1/4" solid tie rod / Drag link This thing is HEAVY The install was pretty straight forward, Didnt really run into any issues. The instructions were pretty vague though. Got it all hooked up, Sprayed some white lithium grease on the heim joints & went to get it installed. Midas tried saying they were going to charge me their flat allignment fee + shop time, Because they had to remove one bolt to adjust the tie rod on the drivers side knuckle.... Drove around town a little bit after the alignment. Only down side i can really think of so far is the drag link is designed to pivot a little to help adjust while flexing, Which causes a thunk if you go over bumps on the road. Is it going to damage/cause any issues? No. Is it slightly annoying to hear while driving down the road? Yes. But i'll survive. I tried to take more photos, But unfortunately while swapping out the steering i managed to smash in my camera on my phone. Now every time i try to open it, it just crashes back to the home page. ~_~ Filed a claim with my protection plan on my phone. I'll take some installed pics when my new phone comes in the mail. -
Last few parts for 8.8 swap and alexia lift
Lee21490 replied to Jackrabbit41's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The fronts definately, The rears you COULD get away with your current shocks.. But you'd limit your travel range. Best bet is to just replace front/rear shocks. Idr the flange needed, I'll let someone else comment on that. Also lmk if you need a hand doing the lift. -
I like my factory "Tow mirrors" or w/e they're referred to as. They fold pretty much flat against the door while wheeling.

Could be the tire. I've had an old set of tires that caused a pull one way, Did the oposite way after i rotated them lol

lmao Well played sir, Well played!

A little sound dampening around the doors/roof, Goes a long way towards getting rid of the road/wind noise on the highway. -
You shouldnt rely on norton, It in itself is almost a virus.

Well managed to hit it hard enough to snap the heads off a few bolts & bend the hell out of the mounting bracket lol Lesson Learned! don't re-Use 20+ year old bolts!
-
Well yea there are nicer ones. But as long as you don't need anything too fancy the nates rear bumper fits all your needs. Hitch / D-Ring tabs / Extremely solid. I've already bashed the hell out of mine being a longbed & all lol
-
I own the rear bumper, I really like it. I added in the comments i wanted the 2" wider version.. But unfortunately he still sent me the regular width.

Headliner, Bedliner and herculiner
Lee21490 replied to Jackrabbit41's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Wait about a month or two, It becomes dull, Rough & Pitted. I'm coming up on my second month. Its faded a bit but I still have no issues with it. I think it's all in what it's used for. Mine's a farm/toy truck so it's not a big deal to me. If someone were doing it just for looks they might wanna reconsider. The reason i'm so against him using it, Is he JUST had his truck painted lol don't need to spoil a good paintjob with herculiner :P -

I have one installed in my mj, I can assure you they're quicker (Or at least the year i got mine out of) I'll try to find what ratio it is, I know they came in a few different ones.

http://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/durango-steering-box-upgrade-3805/ There's also a 99~ Dodge Durango steering box. iirc you can also get them with hydro assist. They bolt right in, Are heavier duty, and Are quicker than the mj/xj steering box, Idr the exact ratio though. You can also swap in the power steering pump from a v8 grand cherokee, Its NEARLY bolt on.. You have to tap the pump to a larger bolt size, Then drill out the mounting bracket & plug one simple return line. Took me maybe 2 hours.

Headliner, Bedliner and herculiner
Lee21490 replied to Jackrabbit41's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
You saw the herculiner in the back of my truck. Its dull, Ugly & starting to flake off (Yes i did prep VERY well) Like the other two have said, Check into U-pol. It is a little more expensive than herculiner, but looks a lot better quality. (And you can mix paint to make it diff colors) -
Actually that corrosion is from the last 12~ hours, It was clean copper when i ripped it apart last night lol Not exactly sure how to get my turn signals working now though :( There is two wires in each of the cables coming off the relay box, What i'm assuming is a ground & another smaller sheilded wire inside (The red one). Not sure how the P/O Had it hooked up. /e Update: Threw a voltmeter on the wires, The two coming off the relay are 12v, Even the sheilding that i thought was ground. The big cable has 0v Now i'm even more confused. Last update. P/O Is an IDIOT! Looks like for some strange reason he cut a chunk of that wire out, Then it was too short so instead of getting a same / thicker gague wire.... Drum roll please..... He used two TINY wires, wrapped them together & hooked it up like that. So i guess what happened is, It started to corode a little, causing the already small wire to be even smaller letting less current through, Causing more heat, which made the issue even worse.. Until finally it was hot enough to start melting. I put a properly sized wire & connected it correctly, Everything works fine now, No issues. Feel kinda stupid for making a thread for somehing this dumb/easy lol ~_________________~
