  1. Well On christmas night, Someone decided to break into my truck & steal my mp3 player & My new lockpick set. Found my winch remote outside on the ground, Door was wide open when i woke up in the morning. Hoping to scrape together enough to buy the clayton 4link next week.
  2. Make it a 4.7l stroker. Changing your axle ratio's can help too.
  3. There's a guy in the mj project sub forum, That has a lowered stretched tire 'manche.
  4. I think they still have their "Military" Coupon code active. Other than that, I don't know. I have the basic front bumper from them, Rear bumper & Rock Sliders. I absolutely love the sliders & The rear bumper, They've held up to a LOT of abuse. Hell first time i was out with the sliders, I got really jammed on a stump in the mud, The slider was sitting right on top of it. In the process of being winched out, The slider actually RIPPED the stump out of the ground. The basic front bumper is pretty meh. It's cheap & looks decent, But is made from VERY thin metal. I managed to bend the whole corner peice/ Break a weld / Bend another part of it.
  5. Not if I see it first. Looks like a pathetic XJ gasser. I just googled that picture tbh. In the guys defense, He only drove it that way until he got the rear lift stuff in the mail. lol (Nabbed it from some random car forum)
  6. Mall Crawler is typically a term used for a lifted full size truck with oversized tires / Chrome everything / Etc. That has never seen a work day / offroad trail in its life. 25 year old here. can't say i've seen a truck like that, Have seen a few cars with the front jacked up though. Not sure why they do it. What really bugs me is when they take a truck & Lower the $#!& out of it, to the point you can't even go over a speedbump. Drove by this last summer... If you look closely, You can see that they had to cut the wheel wells in the bed out, to fit the tires. And completely removed the gas tank & put one in the bed
  7. I've actually never been out to farrell's, I'll have to give it a shot next time.
  8. Xj is unibody, Has no actual frame. MJ has a uniframe design, Not a compltely true frame.. But still stronger than the XJ's. What are you trying to accomplish?
  9. If it was today, wasn't me unless my wife was driving it for some reason. I live on woburn and take Iowa a lot I'm real easy to spot right now as I've installed the 97+ front end with 2 different color fenders ha! Getting painted in a couple weeks.... Ah, Then it wasnt you. This was a solid blue. I'm just off pacific st
  10. Was that you i just drove by on Iowa St? Saw a blue 'manche :o
  11. Check your track bar. Its usually the culprit.
  12. RIP Walmart battery. Did a total of 3 Winch pulls, Which resulted in the voltage plummeting down, Popped open the hood today & looks like the battery boiled over :/ There's a great battery shop a few blocks from my house went & chatted up the owner for about 20 minutes & Finally decided on Getting a Northstar AGM battery. I hope this makes winching easier, If not i might have to look into a better alternator. Elbe damage update; Purchased Tail Lights from the classified section, Should be here soon. Ordered a new Bushing for my IRO track-bar Ran to the pick'n'pull today & Got a whole new pass. Door & swapped it out real quick (Supposed to just pour buckets all week, Flood warnings for a huge radius around where i live lol) Also managed to snag a OEM Steering Skid Plate for $10 from the PnP :D
  13. Guess we should have looked better. I know there's a bunch of changes between those years of d30's just spaced it. Either way though, Glad you got it replaced, The original bearing was just FUBAR lol
  14. http://eastcoastgearsupply.com/i-4985638-xj-ford-8-8-e-brake-cables.html Here's the E-Brake cables btw.
  15. How much were they on the BF sale?
  16. Damage Report: Broke the Passenger Door Window Put a big dent in my Rear Right Bushwhacker Fender flare (Hope it will pop out with a little force & heat) Yet AGAIN broke my Rear Right tail light.. This time it was behind a roll cage! Not quite sure how it broke again.. But this time i didnt end up finding the outer lens... Survived being broken & Glued back together about 4+ Times  . I guess it deserves its retirement now. Got a couple hours of GoPro vids to sort through, Quickly patched together one short clip that I'm currently uploading to Youtube.
  17. Tomorrow will be the first wheeling trip since i got the cage / winch / new front axle. Pretty excited, Hope nothing breaks :/ Going to elbe hills towards Seattle, Never been there before. Got a 15' usb cable so my gopro won't die this time & I'll try to take tons of pictures.
  18. Still is probably worth it to cross ship trade. Spend sub $100 each on shipping vs $300-500~ on new leafs each.
  19. He has thicker & More leafs than stock. So roughly 3" Lift leafs + The extra 2-3" of leaf + SOA + The thicker 8.8 tubes= about 10-12"~
  20. I don't remember how i got my brake lines to work for the 8.8, I remember it being really easy though. Bolt is M12X1.75X27.0 http://www.amazon.com/Ford-Driveshaft-Bolts-N800594S100-M12X1-75X27-0/dp/B00GK4XGW4/ref=pd_sim_263_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=31oGXAwNjRL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=0APFZ9HGXETV6RNWXXRF here's a link to them on amazon.
  21. Holy $#!&, That's one small brave dog. lol
  22. My thoughts. I want pics of the dog. This. Show us Gus!
  23. Damn those rotors are rusty lol
  24. Should I just go to a junkyard and pull off the steering from a zj?No. The only difference is a slightly stronger tie rod (and that's only on the V8 models). It really isn't much of an upgrade. I've seen them bend just as easy as stock XJ rods. As was stated above, the entire stock XJ steering is weak when you go offroad. There are a bunch of companies who make nice 1 ton set-ups. They come with heavy duty TREs and heavy duty drag link and tie rod. You ream out your knuckles and bolt up the new stuff. It's pretty simple, a whole lot stronger, and only costs a couple hundred bucks. He mostly drives on the road, with very little actual offroading. The v8 tie rod is a hell of a lot stronger than the stock xj/mj setup. http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/11060.html This is the OTK 1ton steering i got, If you want i can run over & show you it in person. It's fine I've seen it before. I don't have the money for it right now but maybe for Christmas present I'll ask I still say the v8 tie rod will work just fine for you though. I had it before i went OTK & It survived some pretty big hits.
