    got to play

I took the 2wd drive out on an old level B road with the youngest girl because she loves to get mommys truck dirty. Well we almost made it up the hill when the truck sank. So me and her walked to the nearest farm and had to get tractor to pull the truck out. Well the wife was not mad that we got the truck stuck or that the little one had mud on her clothes. She thought that was funny until the next day she went to get her school shoes and they had more mud on them than she had on her. Yeah I heard about that for a while.
  4. my truck did the same thing as your saying. I just rotated the tire front to back and it went away.
  5. looking good man I like that
  6. :needpics: if the body is in good shape and it runs good i would almost give you that just to restore it. just my thoughts watson
  7. yes they do but there the stubby ones. I want the ones that i can go clear thru my bumper and weld on both side like these guys: http://www.bulletproofmfg.com/
  8. I got the fenders trimmed and added a little bling for protection as well
  9. thats what i am get for my front bumper thanks for the link
  10. i no that you said MADE but for $50 i would go with these guys just my thought http://www.mad4wd.com/tek9.asp?pg=produ ... =jmpnmqloo
  11. Comancheon33 just did this on his. My thought is that it would bolt it I mean fender forwrd there the same as an XJ so it sould work.
  12. I just did mine and it looks ok the drive shaft offset to the passenger side, and I have seen no issues but then again I don’t have mine all the way done ether. But as far as I can tell there is no issue. If you search this there has been a lot of talk about the 8.8 lately must be something in the water. But yeah just set you pinion angle at what you want and weld on some spring perches and there you go.
  13. CW I no that you are building your own bumper and awhile back you ask for some recovery points. I like these there pricey but damn they are nice http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=537471
  14. x2 The 4x4 swap is pretty much bolt in. You could leave it SUA and no lift so it would be cheaper and look stock. Just my 2 cents. I plan to restore the wifes one day with a stepside bed some how  That what she wants to try so were going to give it a shot but that build is for this fall next summer we will see what happens. But build the 2wd rust free.
  15. Not to be a fool here but why would you want to chop somthing that looks so damn good lifted.
  16. i am a newbie here for the most part and i tell you what the guys and gals on these pages are great. I would buy a star or what ever those other sites have here before i even think about about it anywhere elese. Not that it is important what i think but that is that. So Pete when you do decide to go with the website ideal i think i am safe to say we all well stand behind you and help were is needed and asked. Watson
  17. welcome and I like the wood sides looks like an old waggy. And that white one is clean.
  18. A little update here and sorry no pics yet trimmed the front bumper to the frame rails and cut about 2” of fender so now the 33’s look small but at least I should have more room to flex. And after all the questions that I have asked about the new 8.8 I set the pinion at 10 degrees and called it good. That’s what the old axle was set at so we well see if it works or not. If all goes will I should be able to drive this thing in a month or so.
  19. yeah that is what my old 8.8 was set at and i am going to set it at 10 and call it good. More than likely i won't drive this thing to much on the road. Maybe to the trail and to work once in a while.
  20. i think that is what i am going to do today is slide the axle back under the truck and put the wieght of the truck on it and i am going to make it look close so I just hope this is close to right so i don't eat u-joints.
  21. i like the Rock Krawler set up but I will be hitting the junk yard and doing the ZJ upgrade for right now.
  22. i like it looking good man but it need more LIFT
  23. just more $#!& i don't no that much about it other than it is a 94 XJ with busted front axle u-joint or something like that. Plus he has a 97 or 98 4 sale also. So I am just going to look at them they both have 4.0 and auto. So they should have the 8.25 in the rear to build the wifes truck. That or i will try to sell it after I get it up a running. We well see Comancheeon33 you looking for some more XJ let me no I might have one for you :brows:
  24. that what i wanted to hear
