the mj is stuck in the drive way so i thought i would take the XJ out and get get around yeah i got around right into the middle of the 4 lanes. I reached down put it into 4 wheel drive and drove off like nothing happen.

if your going to get a new axle upgrade to any thing other than d35 go with the 8.8 or even the 8.25 or if you can find the d44. Just remeber if it is 4x4 make sure your gears match front and rear. And welcome to the club. I am in centeral IA and i have the 8.8 with 3.73 gears and a MJ D35 w/3.07 4 sale if you would want any of the two let me no. I also have a D35 out of a 91 xj w/3.55 gears.

I am think about locking my 8.8 and I want a locker but they are kind of high in price I mean 250 and up for a lunch box and you can go all the why up so I was thinking about a spool because it does the same thing right I no there was a write up about these before and I wanted to no what you guy thought about a spool and what company makes a good spool and stuff http://www.drivetrainspecialists.com/ca ... -88-1.html

I found an MJ at the bone yard with black interior and bucket seat (the driver side seat is shot) but the rest of the stuff is in great shape and the guy wants $100 for every thing. As long as I take it out so my question for you guy and gal that have take the dash out is how hard is it to get out because the wife wants the black interior for her truck and I am willing to do it but only if I can get it all to match. I don’t want a black interior with a red dash.

Here the deal guys got the XJ done today with the new head and stuff. Now the window fuse keeps blowing. Any one no where I should start looking for the short I no the doors to make sure a wire there is not pinch but any where else. Could it be a bad switch on the driver’s side door?

grab the belt and pull on it from side to side that might help

try turning the motor by hand the starter might be in a jam
