  1. Mine was a SB with 2.5. It went to a junk yard. Would have kept it around but living in the village didn't make that possible. I stripped off a bunch of stuff, but still keep thinking, darn, should have grabbed that as well. Haven't done much with my 87. Sits for two or three weeks, but starts everytime I get up the gumption to clean the snow and ice off it. I'll run it around town, then park it again. My 11 Y.O. son wants to learn to drive so I'll probably let him drive it around the back field soon. 2.5, auto with a foot of snow in the field, won't be able to get above 5 or 10 mph anyhow:).
  2. 4.0, AW4, full cluster, cruise, A/C.........wan't to double your money :brows: . Nice steal there
  3. Hey Bob, If you are seriously interested, I am traveling to Albany tomorrow and should be there late afternoon. Should be a couple hours before the auction ends. If the guy is available i can scoot up and look at it in person for ya. Joe
  4. Hmmmmm....those don't look like 5x4.5 axles sittin there. What you runnin in the front?

    fuel miser

The 2.5 Chryco engine was derived from the 2.2. An OHC engine. Never in a Jeep. Dakota used both the OHC Chrysler engine, and also the AMC 2.5. AND, the 2.5 AMC engine came out BEFORE the 4.0L did. 1984 for the AMC 2.5 and 1987 for the 4.0L. These were both derived from the AMC 258/232.
  6. Just to stir the pot, any chance someone walked past your Jeep in the parking lot and whacked the mirror, knocking it loose?

    oh deer?

7 or 8 years ago had a customer tow his ZJ in with a blown engine. Dumbass ran over a deer carcass, broke off the bottom of the radiator, and kept driving until the 4.0 seized. The bad part was that it sat in the lot for a couple of days until the insurance adjuster showed, in August. The whole undercarriage was covered with nasty fetid deer matter. That was by far the worst engine job I ever had to do.
  8. It's nice to receive presents after Christmas is over:). Enjoy and place order when you can.
  9. Depending on the year it may be even lower than that. My MJ came with an S10 bar and had 2 1/2 inch plastic ( :D ) spacers to make it level with the roof.
  10. Are you going to be using the 90 as a donor vehicle for the AC stuff?
  11. Tread lightly there dirty! Unfortunately I tend to agree with you even after 25 yrs of wrenching for a living. Try using two hammers and hitting both sides of the knuckle at the same time where the TRE goes through. Sometimes the force will drive the TRE the direction of the taper. Good luck
  12. Dodge Ram or Dakota? Seems Ram would be too wide? ( I have the black interior as well)
  13. May have an issue with the neutral safety switch. I assume you are going to use the whole 98 engine harness? What year is your MJ? There may also be a fuel pressure difference, and what about the O2 sensor feedback? I'm guessing there will be some bugs, but anything can be worked out. Just was talkin to a guy in class that used a donor Ram for it's Hemi , RFE tranny and electricals to install in a TJ. Said it was just stupid fast.

    Child safety?

Of course you might have a problem if she opens the door with her foot :D
  15. I've had a ton of D35's and newer D44's apart, and have never seen an inner seal on one. What year axle are you talkin' here?
  16. Usually it is a 3/8 square drive, but I've seen some with a 5/8 square plug that you would use a wrench on.
  17. Takes at least 80/90 gear oil, unless someone put synthetic in there. Seal isn't too hard to change, but a shop should only charge a max of one hour labor to do it, plus parts. Be sure yoke isn't too badly grooved, or seal won't , well, seal.
  18. Are you talking front 44 or rear 44?
  19. Where about in Mass are you? I'll be in Albany for a week in the beginning of May to teach so I could pick it up if ya decide to sell the bumper.
  20. Just noticed it has a rear bumper still! What shape is it in? Let me know if you part it.
  21. you could sell the black interior and roll bar for more than you paid for the whole thing anyhow
  22. Hey, since you put it that way, let me be first in line :D . The right side bed panel is tempting for $300 though
  23. If you go to the link that wildman put up it lists both side panels AND complete boxes for Comanches
  24. I poked around on the chrysler site. A whole box was 1300. A right side out panel was 304 and a left was 1200. Something sounds funny, and they probably would come up as "not in stock".
  25. Don't those liberty rims have some deep back spacing? I was looking at some and thought they would cause some interference in the rear.
