  2. Ecclesiastes 10:2 King James 2000 Bible A wise man's heart is at his right hand; but a fool's heart at his left. No, Jeep drivers are not necessarily monolithic. :)

  4. Helpful, thank you.
  5. Yep, $1800. Now subtract $600 for the mindless NPR sticker..........or remove it.
  6. Yeah I know......... I'm going to make a shield that will be painted black behind the grill so it doesn't get direct rain.
  7. Undoubtedly the best improvement/mod I've done so far. I need to have a new pipe bent as the muffler shop got it close but no cigar where it meets the plenum, or I need to address the coupler but for now it works fine. As I have posted before in another thread I had tons of bottom end but as I brought the RPMs up above 2000 it really began to fade and there was no pull at all above 2500 with about 1900 being my sweet spot. Well now it pulls right on through 3000rpm, she was gasping for air with the old air box. Getting a little better mileage too, haven't measured but seemingly so.
  8. Excellent tires! and I'll replace mine with the same when the time comes.
  9. If I'm not mistaken........I've looked around........ The post 91 has the small hose outlet for the heater running off in the 11 O'clock direction instead of the 2 O'clock direction to feed the intake. I have seen others loop the hose to the intake using a later housing........looks like crap in my opinion. NAPA has the pre 91 for $54.
  10. The one on my truck is from a 94 XJ and I have a lose one from a 95 Wrangler. I'll compare later and get back to you.
  11. Look around, full size trucks have hit the market hard and plentiful on the last few weeks...........wonder why?

  13. That may be in an 88 MJ, but that has a temperature sender in it, which makes it a 91+ housing. I put the sender in it.
  14. Image Not Found Here is an 88.
  15. I got mine from OReily.........less than $35 IIRC and I had no problems with it.
  16. :shake: Your new rubber gasket will leak too. But it's your money and time. I won't comment on the painting.

  18. Prices sound about right.
  19. I use Permetex Ultra Black on both sides of cork gaskets. I make sure the bolt threads are clean and coated with the UB so they set. Just snug the bolts till the UB begins to ooze, let set. If both your mating surfaces are clean you shouldn't have a problem with seepage for a long long time. I will not pay the $40 for rubber and I don't trust it anyway.
  20. What Bilstiens did you install? Do you notice a more stable ride? I had Bilstiens on my Ranger and now wished I had saved up the $400 for the MJ.
  21. The alt is bad.........period!.........go get another one.
  22. I've had alts test good and be bad. I don't trust the testing.
  23. It is SAFETY glass. No shop will cut you a piece and DO NOT install non safety glass..........your life will be at stake.
