Tnt customs also has a decent setup. Ive used terraflex before as well as rock krawlers bombproof setup.

We use Yukon for almost everything around here and sometimes USA standard. Make sure you have the correct carrier for both diff's before you tear them down.

For what it's worth USA standard is owned by Yukon. Pretty much every rl ring and pinion comes from overseas. Yukon just does a decent amount of quality control before they package them as Yukon's. The ones that don't fit those standards get sent as USA standard.

I did sleeve and gusset the front. We do this a few times a week on jk's at the Shop. I used rse sleeves and evo gussets. We get a few spare axles from jk's doing dynatrac axles. So they didn't really cost anything. The only real expense I had was ruff stuff for the rear and got dynatrac to send me the brackets for the front and the sleeves and gussets we had around.

My first car was a 92 trans am with a 305 and my second car was a 87 GTA trans am with a 350. I've had plenty of ls1 fourth gens and a few c5 and c6 corvette zo6's but my favorite is still the third gen trans am's. I have so many good memories of when I first started to drive. Everytime I see one pass me on the road it makes me want one again.

I've been through that situation before with old friends and family. A long time ago my dad told me that any time you loan out money consider it a gift. Its a lesson that kept me from only loaning money when I had enough to not be to upset if it didn't come back.

So I'm getting near the end of my build and just need to decide on wheel color choice. The truck color is going to be Inca Gold and wheels are going to be Hutchinson Rock monster wheels. Was leaning towards the argent but my business partner thinks silver is the way to go. Just figured i'd get some idea on what others thought. If it matters it has the 99 conversion on it, long arms and 37's with jk axles.

We have a set (D30/D44) in our shop mj going together right now. The d30 in JK's is HP. The brackets I got were from Dynatrac. The upper control arm mounts are in the right spot and the lowers are close if you wanted to use them again. They do put the lower control arms a little off but it could work. We just cut them off and welded new ones on that were thicker anyway. I also sleeve and gusseted the axle to add a little strength to them. Going to run some synergy ball joints to. The brakes are larger then MJ stuff and you end up with crossover steering. The drag link is a stock JK setup cut down about 3 inches or so. Used a trac bar from a old TJ build we had around. Both yokes were changed to 1310 yokes. The rear we ended up just going spring over with a jk44. The axles are around 5" wider overall but if you use stock rims they don't actually stick out that bad. It was a pretty simple swap overall if you are ok welding.

We are getting ready to spray our MJ inca gold. I have the door jambs all done just waiting for a slow time at my buddys shop to spray the rest of the truck. It's a great color.

Thats the way I always do it. I strip the paint that needs to be stripped and then sand the rest. Spray epoxy over that, do the bodywork needed and then usually use a surface primer on top of that, next is a thinned down epoxy primer to use as a sealer and then paint over that.

We are going to running some fox 2.0 res shocks on our shop MJ. I've also always been a fan of the bilstein 5100. They ride great and are durable.

I've used them plenty of times in the shop. We do about 2 to 4 sets of gears a week and I would say have probably put in about 20+ usa standard gears and have no complaints. They set up as nice as the yukon gears.

Do you know what carrier you are going to go with? Verizion you can get the htc thunderbolt used which is very very close to the evo. If you go att I would go with the HTC one X. Also very similar to the evo 4g LTE that sprint has now. They are both close enough that you wouldn't really notice any difference.

It will work. They are the same as far as that goes. They do look like they have been sitting around for a while though. My suggestion is save up the other $100 and buy new.

In our shop we charge $100 to swap a rear axle in if it is a bolt in. Front axle we charge a little more due to steering linkage. Setting up a set of gears is right around $300 per axle. It's really easy to do. Take the weight off the truck and unbolt the brake line, u bolts, shocks and drive shaft. Roll the old axle out and roll the new one in and bolt it all in. On a lift I do it in way under a hour.

The fronts are in great shape just need paint really. The rears i have are kinda beat up but i've got a set on our shop mj you can use. Send me a pm with your address and we can figure it out if you want.

We used cheaper ball joint presses at the shop for a long time and a few months ago ended up with a Snap On set. It's way way way overkill for the weekend guy but it works amazing. All the cups just interlock together so no fighting with the cups falling apart and the kit is alot smaller then the old ones we used. We do a bunch of jk ball joints at the shop and the new press probably cut the install and removal time by a 1/3rd or so.

I have to dig through the upstairs in my shop but I should have a set off of mine floating around that you can have. I need a day or two to find them though.

Good to hear you were ok. We replace a ton of unit bearings at the shop. I just did three trucks this past week that needed them.

there are also companies that can help you out with no title cars. I've used them before when I had a old car and the title was messed up and couldn't find the original owner. The older cars are usually cheap enough to do around 400 or under.

Funny I just had a new welder day too. I got a millermatic 211 for myself.

That bumper came out great.

Funny i'm up in jersey and a clean xj with those miles would do 4500. I sold a 99 xj with 93k miles the other day for 5200. Around here any late xj with under 150k miles will do 3500-4000 fast. Anything over usually sells for around 3000.

I've got a set of 4.10 used for a dana 35 at the shop. You would need a new carrier too but I have new carriers as well plus the bearings and shims. Stop by the shop one day. Bumper looks good.

Glad someone will be able to use the badges. They would just sit around the shop forever after I took them off. Hopefully we will get some of the electrical stuff taken care of on Sunday.
