  1. I do about 8 axles a week at our shop. We just take a cordless impact and hold the yoke with our hand and pop the pinion nuts off. We do everything from 2012 jk's with 100 miles to 89 cherokees with 300k plus. They all just come right off. Now going back on with a new crush sleeve is a different story. We use a very long ratchet and a big cheater bar with a factory tool on the yoke.
  2. I would just put a motor in and sell it. Around here xj's with those miles in clean shape will get 3500.
  3. I have a nearly mint wiring harness from my 90 project if you are interested. It was a 2wd 4.0 with a ba-10 in it. I'm in jersey to. It's a pretty simple swap to change it out. I've got a ton of parts off it if you need anything. I'm in the middle of doing the late model swap.
  4. We have a set of jk rubicon shocks on our shop tj. I always save them when we pull them off newer rubicons for future projects. They ride pretty good and usually very cheap to get.
  5. Nice. I sometimes paint. Just depends on how busy the shop is. Do you end up wet sanding the trucks when you are done. I always seem to have some dirt in the clear when i'm done and have to spend the time sanding it all out. I am doing a cherokee right now also to flip. It needs a little more work then yours seems to. Can't wait to see the one you have all done.
  6. Probably just the area for tires. We have so many used tire guys around here. I just got a set for a buddy. They still had the little rubber nipples on the tires for 25 each. I have a tire machine here so I forget about the mounting and balancing fee. Do you spray in a booth or just your garage?
  7. If the damage you were talking about is the drip rail it's a pretty easy fix. Just get some body filler and make it smooth where it is wrinkled and then go down to your local body supply place and they should be able to mix you up some paint the right color in a aerosol can. I usually do this when we cut in door jambs and stuff like that. Cost is around $25. Prime the spot and paint the drip rail and it won't be obvious and you can use the rest for the front header panel. Also as far as tires go you can find cheap used tires. I get them for around 20-30 each. Just a good tip for the next one. I used to flip cars alot and know a bunch of good tips so if you need any let me know.
  8. I would buy the one with no rust issues. I like bodywork more then mechanical but these trucks get out of control when it come to rusting away. Its very easy to make these 4wd and if the miles worry you that can be fixed by putting a low miles motor in when you swap in the 4wd stuff.
