  1. It's grade 2, course thread. Absolute $#!&. Go to a machine shop and buy gr12 all-thread... At $12 a foot it's a little harsh though.
  2. I didn't cut the shocks, they jsut happen to be lying on the bed with a bunch of other stuff (like driveshafts) Unless you're talking about the grease in the slip yokes. It just kinda got sqeezed out. I'll get some pics here... They're both just tacked together to check length and runout right now. Need to put the front axle back in though.
  3. Those aren't ment to be abused cages... They're to get you to pass tech on the drag-strip. Only good for one use. But, interior cages and wheeling tends to work like that.
  4. Uh, I made two beautiful driveshafts. Top speed is probably going to be about 20. I also cut down and sleeved my tie-rod, threw it on the front axle. Which also is now geared, FINIALLY. Only two things that are holding me up is I can't get a reamer for my pitman arm (might have to booty fab this...) and I don't have a drill bit larger than 3/4. I have holes saws, but, they don't work when you're trying to enlarge a hole. So, I'll go out and buy a step-bit and some bolts tomorrow and get my @$$ back in the shop and hopefully I'll have the thing rolling again, then I can fix the slight problems in the rear end and the tcase shifter and a little wiring and call it good enough. Deadline is looming.
  5. Buddy of mine picked up a F350. HPD60/Sterling 10.25/460/C6/NP-something... For, $1000. Sold the 460 for $800. The sterling for $200. The C6/T-case and body are going to go too. So, his HPD60 (came with 4.10 gears too  ) so far has cost him nothing. F' I hate him.
  6. You forgot an important part. You have to saw the steering wheel back and forth while you hold the right pedal to the floor.
  7. Well, can he not move the spring hangers forewards? Then, run buggy shackles with a shorter spring to help departure? Yes, there is evil there... I have no idea what went on in this post so far, so if you read this and think "That guy needs to lay off the cheeba" it's becuase I'm lazy, not stoned.
  8. Poor boy driveshaft time: A couple of the donors: Image Not Found The poor boy chop saw method of cutting down the tubes: Image Not Found Hacked off: Image Not Found The tube was left to allow me to slip a peice of pipe over it. Yes, I am going to build a pipe driveshaft. 2" Sch40 is 2.01~ ID, so it'll fit over the 2" tube really nice. Removing the balancing weight so I can cut it down: Image Not Found Who needs a balanced driveshaft anyways? Finished as of tonight: Image Not Found I'll pick up my pipe tomorrow and give it a shot. Worst case scenario I just destoryed a $30 driveshaft. I've made bigger mistakes.
  9. No can do. I have zero cash and these were given to me. So, I'm working with what I've got. Maybe I'll put it near the stock antenna, but on the driver's side.
  10. AHAHAHAHAHAHAH BWAHAAHHA That guy needs help  or to at least hide his porn a little better.
  11. Put it for sale in the for sale forum. There's a bunch of guys who frequent this site that are always looking.
  12. Where'd you put your antenna(s)? I was thinking behind the cab, to make them as high as possible. Only problem is I'll probably break them off. Don't really have any space up front... They're 5' fiberglass el cheapos.
  13. I haven't had a chance to run it up long enough to see if they'll keep it cool... But, I have no doubt they will. With them both on high speed, there's enough suction that small animals will have to be even more wary of the front end of my jeep. And that's a 4-oh.
  14. Yeah, apparently it is. I could have looked it up, but I was too lazy. Dunno how bad it'll run without it.
  15. Uh, gotta be done by the 26th. Well, 24th, really. If not, and I miss the TOY run. Well, I go to it in the XJ. Yes, it is actually that pathetic of a run. But, I have a friend that has agreed to trailer the MJ there and back, so I can carnage some parts majorly.
  16. Florida plates have an orange in the middle, that looks like an "o". I saw a pic of a plate that read "A5S RGY".
  17. Image Not Found What is it? Do I need it? It's in my way. I will kill it soon. Just like the deer on the road.
  18. Nah, you were thinking of me. I was talking about using gloss black/flat black. But, black and very close colours work well.
  19. See! I was right! :Canadaflag:
  20. The fenders are different. But, I don't know if it matters. I think the lines might be a bit different?
  21. Well, some of those would be worth a shot. It's fairly obvious if the fittings are the right size once you compare them. But, good to know 'dem chevy lines might work. Incase I ever trash my SS lines.
  22. I'd buy it. But I'm boke, and live in BC...
  23. The 2.5 sucks. Hopefully the crazy 2.5 guys won't try to kill me.
  24. I burned in my tranny mount - it seems to be working well. Not that I had enough testing on it yet, as I only fired the engine and ran it for about 20 seconds. That was because I realized I had no power steering fluid  I also got my e-fan setup together. But, I had to go out for dinner, so I didn't get it wired. Making the frame, and putting the fans on it. They're Ford Taurus Aux fans. Image Not Found Cutting things up so they'd fit. The radiator also had to be moved forewards. Image Not Found They're in place: Image Not Found I might pop it back out and make a shroud for it out of sheetmetal. At the same time I probably won't because they cover so much area as it is.
  25. I might get you one of mine. I had it running on thursday, just to prove to myself that it still did. But I'll burn in the tranny mount and wire my fans, and then let it run for a while. Only problem is that it's gonna make the ceiling of the garage black. Who the f's thought stuccoing it was a good diea anyways?
