  1. So, I take it you left some poor dude's exploder's @$$ end up on blocks in the wal-mart parking lot?
  2. How long did it take to drill out all the leafs? I did mine (all 4 packs), and gave up after I carnaged two titanium bits (with cutting oil) on the first leaf. Then I went 'duh' and used a tapered reamer. Now, had I been half smart I'd not have carnaged the two $12 ti. bits.
  3. Fixed the steering. Thank Bob for heims.
  4. Use thunderbird coils if you're going to use ford coils... The F-trucks all came with very high spring rates as they were heavy and ment to hold more crap.
  5. I'm exhausted. I took it for a test drive. -No rear shocks. Or tail lights. Or plates. -Brakes weren't bled quite right - I will have to deal with it. -Tranny mount is WAY too stiff. I have no idea if it is even going to work like this. I'm afraid that it hasn't enough give and it is going to carnage something. Perhaps itself. I guess that's what you get for using leaf spring bushings. -The connection between the tie-rod and drag link (inverted T) hits the passenger side leaf spring. I have no idea how to fix it yet... -I never got around to wiring the fans...
  6. Looks good. How well did the S-10 tonneau fit?
  7. They aren't a mud tire... My buddy who competes in his YJish thing runs them - seem to do alright for him at 8psi in the rocks.
  8. I need one sans bed.
  9. The cheap way (which I'd opt for) is to get a set of 2" drop shackles for a full-size chebby. Or, make my own. However, I believe that RE makes some good quality shackles, and should have some that are long enough...
  10. Any idea how far foreward the front axle is VS stock? If I don't like my wag springs I might have to go to lift YJ ones...

    home inflation

This one actually had a decent question. If you want my .02, it's all over-valued and the end is near...
  12. Dayum 4-eyes... Looks like you're making good progress.
  13. It's okay as long as you have an open diff or a slippy LSD.
  14. My spare is a 35x12.5 on a 15x7... Works good. If a tire shop won't mount it (I know some that won't) tell them to go @#$% themselves and take it to a mom and pop shop.
  15. Front shaft done Image Not Found Whole front end is together, only thing is that my pitman arm has the wrong hole size/taper for the 1/2 TREs. Hopefully my buddy has one that works, otherwise I'm effed because to get the reamer is going to take 2-3 weeks. Rear end is being taken back apart to put the brakes/spacers on, and fix the pinion angle. Still haven't finished wiring my fans. Blah.
  16. For $50 I'd grab it. I need a cab to satisfy a curiosity of mine... Oh, and there was a IFS D30 avaliable in the Eagle Wagons.
  17. I had them on my MJ, and the front skid made its way to my last XJ. I needed a jack to get it into place. It wasn't as well made as it was heavy. One good stump impact at the lower edge, and it was bent up making it nearly impossible to access the steering components. I hate those skids. First thing I do when dealing with one is to get out the angle grinder and cut all the bolts/mounting tabs. Then it goes in the scrap pile.
  18. Same here. Other than nobody would buy 'em with my 'pick-up only' policy. I actually gave my buddy a set of turbines to hold down the tarps in his backyard (he stores engines under them).
  19. Steroids, eh? Tsk tsk.
  20. Turbines are aluminum. You can clean 'em up if they're oxidized. And, maybe a head gasket, maybe just because it hasn't been run. Depends how bad it is...
  21. Those things are slower than the 2.5s. And that's sad. Cummins makes a 3.3L diesel. 3.3BT I think it's called. It will actually fit unlike the 4BT. And you can adapt it to just about any tranny.... Either way, I'm not an oil-burner fan.
  22. The 2-dr flip seats come with funky rails so they sit higher. I actually like it because I can see over the hood better. But, if I put the sun visor down at all, I can't see $#!&.
  23. Stock track bars can't be adjusted... Right?
  24. Image Not Found Haven't spun 'em yet to see how far out they are. Front axle isn't in yet...
  25. Even I'm not that cheap. Actually, those shocks cost $30 each. Long as they still do something I wouldn't cut them up.
