1. not sure, I have been watching tv. by the time I got to the window I was able to see the first police car. I suspect I will see something on the local news shortly.
2. I am starting to feel a little sick... on a side note 6 police cars just flew by my house in a high speed chase...
3. test
4. machines are prone to error, and it was bound to happen sooner or later. have you ever used an ATM that would not click where you wanted too? My voting location used pen and paper, the paper was then scanned into a machine, but i can see a problem with that system as well. My scanner at work scans black lines on the doc if i use the document feeder tray, and it requires frequent cleaning to prevent it. ultimately there is not a system that can be 100% reliable, as every method can have its own flaws.
5. :rotfl2:
6. same issue here, And when i started using tapatalk the view new content worked and now it does not... i have not changed anything.
7. Well I voted for the first time Today! I was in and out in less than 10 minuets. I like living in a small town.
8. congrats! I watched the last 5 min of the game with one of my friends, she is an LSU fan... Anyway very close game, I am glad Alabama won. I just wish Auburn would start doing better lol. I guess I should check to see if my team actually won today...
9. if the lights are incandescent they should power on no matter what way the current runs right? so in theory your two hots can be used as ground and vice versa
10. ... i have edited this post serveral times... I can't remember 100% how the interior lights are wired but i am positive that there are 3 wires... If you have a volt meter remove one of the interior lights on the b-pillar and check for voltage. make sure that the door is closed when you test for voltage. then mimic the wiring for the new lights. have you bench tested the new light to test what wire does what?
11. forgot to add that the drive shaft will need to be shortened by 1 inch as the d44 about is 1 inch longer than the D35.

assuming you keep SUA. I am not sure about SOA
12. while we are talking about lock nuts, try to stay away from the lock nuts with the rubber insides. my experience with them is that over time they will tighten and eventually sheer the bolt from stretching. granted my experience is with our Precor strength equipment but they also use grade 8 bolts.
13. thankfully the last owner of my Comanche was my grandfather, the most neglect it received was setting in a garage for 5+ years, but he was keeping the oil changed every 6 months and drove it once a month at least. if i could ever find the stuff to convert my AX-15 to external slave i will be sitting happy. its just finding the freakin parts that's the issue.. and car-part.com is not much help.
14. but the axle width is the same
15. the spring perches will need to be relocated. and the XJ shock mounts won't work for the MJ as well.
16. I am starting to think my Comanche does not like getting fixed up. when i first got it the brakes needed to be replaced, so i replaced them, then the electrical stuff had to be re-wired, finished that, the internal slave dies, had that replaced, started overheating, flushed the system and replaced the thermostat. drove around happily for a few months and had it repainted. a fuse wire blows and i trailer it home, had that fixed. the transmission dies, upgrade it to an AX-15 and 242. (while setting at the shop my new paint baked in the summer sun while looking for a tranny) finally bought a winch and plan to use it around the yard... the internal slave bites the dust again... at least this time i have an electric winch to get the jeep on to the trailer... (prediction: the battery dies before i get a trailer) hopefully the parts will be in on the first so i can get my Comanche Running again, the weather is getting nice and cool and the heater works very well :D and i would like to drive it some while the weather is nice. :driving:
17. the dealer does not have any in stock. so looks like i will be going to advance auto parts again
18. the metal around the front windshield is mostly for looks. I don't know what type of metal it is (haven't checked) but it does not seem to rust.
19. or have it off set between the receiver and recovery points. kinda like a KJ
20. What is the part number for an internal throwout bearing (internal slave) for an 89 AX-15? thanks
21. puled a D44 Trac-lok at the P&P today

23. grind the alternator mount or the brackets on the engine? I am guessing grinding something on the engine because of your statement.
24. Took some pics, and have a new background for my computers Also painted and Installed 97+ Windshield wiper arms
25. Not all D44s are "Limited slip", My D44 is "open" the best thing to do is pull the cover and look at the gears, yours may have had an "open" carrier and later someone may have put a "limited slip" in it so the tag is not always dependable
