  1. Looks like it might just be extra parts? Looks like a B pillar piece in the bed in one of the pictures.
  2. If you're asking if the 5 leaf spring is a direct swap for the 4 leaf spring, yep it is.
  3. Bumping this again, does anyone know if one of krusty's hitches will fit underneath a Gladiator bumper? Can someone with one get some measurements from the highest to lowest point? @MercManche @JackD @shelbyluvv
  4. I think I'd be more comfortable getting a set from General Spring: https://www.generalspringkc.com/leaf-springs/jeep/comanche/ May be more expensive, but I think they've got a proven record here with members. I wonder who Dorman uses as a source for theirs?
  5. I'm thinking I'm going to try to go with a mild 2" lift, don't want anything crazy, but something to give it a good stance.
  6. Ah, gotcha. I don't have that pink wire already present, so I have to add mine in. Thanks for the additional pictures!
  7. Not sure if it's in here, but would good to add!
  8. Ah, got it. And the wire that you run, did you run it above the headliner over to one of the B pillars? How much space is there between the headliner and the roof? Just trying to understand if I can put a Weather Pack connector in between the light and the wires that I'm going to run to the switch.
  9. @C1111toro, looking at doing this install. How much room is there for a connector (Weather Pack) behind the hole that needs to be drilled to allow the wires from that cargo light? My truck doesn't have them already run, so I have to run my own.
  10. My first MJ was an '88--got it when I was in high school about 10 or so years ago. Happened to be driving by a mechanic shop where my family takes their vehicles for inspections, and saw it sitting out front with a for sale sign. Having never seen one before, fell in love instantly--was able to talk to the shop, found out it was collateral for a job someone did, and was able to buy it. Can't remember if it was $1000 or $1500, but it was around there. Here was my first thread: Looks like I ended up selling it (because I was a stupid young kid) a year or two later... Fast forward to 2021, when I purchased my current '91 from another member here, and I don't plan on getting rid of this one
  11. I know @Automan2164 had one, but hasn't been online in quite some time. Also: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064674259775

    4th comanche

Love it! If you ever end up needing a new home for it, let me know…
  13. Yeah, I’m doing a DT 6 + 2-pin weather pack for the 12V accessory and brake controller. Didn’t think it’d be necessary to add the two wires that aren’t already part of the harness into the same connection. If you’re willing to part with a set…
  14. Actually, I'm making this more complicated than it is. If it's truly 18ga wiring for the rear lighting circuits, it's as simple as: to rear ---18ga---| connector |----18ga---splice 10/12/14ga---18ga---| connector |---18ga--- to front I can use my Deutsch connectors I already have, and don't have to worry about mixing and matching different terminal sizes from one side of the connector to the other.
  15. Ahhh, you're right, looks like I can use the same connector with various terminals for different gauges: http://www.fastronixsolutions.com/Terminal Products/weather pack connector kits.htm Assuming I can hook up at 12-10 pin to a 20-18 pin, that would work!
  16. Nice! I don't think I will need the bracket, but if it's there and doesn't cost extra, can't hurt to grab it? Thanks!
  17. Yep, exactly--would be looking to de-pin some of the terminals w/ pigtails from the PDC so I can butt connect a new wire to it.
  18. I'm planning on creating my own harness to hook up this connector to my MJ: https://www.etrailer.com/Custom-Fit-Vehicle-Wiring/Hopkins/HM40975-11998.html Because the '91-'92 taillight harness connectors are unobtainium, I decided to replace them with a 6-pin Deutsch style connector. The above connector uses 10-14ga wires for the harness, so I got the appropriate Deutsch style for those gauges: https://www.ebay.com/itm/353073619696 However, according to the electrical manual from an '88, it seems the wires in the taillight harness at 18ga. If I cut off the unobtainium connectors and try to splice the 10-14ga Deutsch terminals onto an 18ga wire, I'm not so sure that'll work? My options seem to be: Attempt to crimp the stock 18ga wires into the 10-14ga terminals for the Deutsch style connector Use the 10-14ga Deutsch connector with a pigtail and butt connect (I have solder-seal waterproof connectors) the 10-14ga wires to the 18ga wire of the original harness Use a 18ga Deutsch connector to connect to the original MJ harness and butt connect two 18ga wires with the various 10-14ga wires from the trailer wiring harness. I purchased these style crimp connections to use, which should be able to handle the situation I'm outlining above: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XTV93GD?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details This is all assuming that the stock wires in the harness are actually 18ga, according to the electrical manual. If they're even 16ga, I think that gets me close enough to use the 10-14ga Deutsch connectors I purchased.
  19. Yeah, the brackets themselves didn’t seem to be bent, but that makes sense for it not being centered. Probably got tweaked when someone rear ended me on the passenger side… Thanks for the reply! May have to go back and see if I’ve got enough of the bolt to put a washer/nut on the stripped welded nut.
  20. Looking for a PDC from the ‘91 era so I can wire in some new circuits to my MJ and make it as stock as possible. Thanks!
  21. This is going to be your friend: https://cdn.xjjeeps.com/pdf/en-us/1984-1993-factory-service-manual.pdf Says 55 in-lbs (NOT ft-lbs). If you don't want to spend the $$ on a torque wrench, snugging them down with a 1/4" ratchet will be more than enough. I think there's a particular order that they should be tightened, found in that FSM above.
  22. You should be able to return those radiators that are leaking, no? I would think the best valve cover gasket to get would be the Felpro one: https://www.amazon.com/Fel-Pro-VS-50522-Valve-Gasket/dp/B000C2APC4 I can't remember the last time I did one, but I don't think it's super complicated on the 4.0. For something like this, I'd torque down to spec.
  23. Honestly, don’t need much, and it’d be simpler than what you have now. Here’s one of the writeups:
  24. I thought so too, until I realized there’s a good sized hole on the passenger side—it almost blends in lol
  25. If you don’t have any tools, I’d seriously start investing in at least a basic mechanics tool set. Should be able to handle a large amount of jobs on an MJ, including replacing the radiator. Can’t speak to the quality of the radiators, odd that you’re getting so many issues (plastic tanks cracking, leaking from all aluminum).
