    My "new" Amc 20

    Looks purdy!
  2. I figured as much
  3. Oh Rob, Santa is calling you..................................................
  4. He was asking about the blower motor seal, not the motor itself. That foam seal is sandwiched between the the heater box and firewall. Sure ya can probably remove the old one without loosening the box. They're usually dry rotted and fall apart easily but getting a new one in won't happen.
  5. To get that foam seal out you have to take the same steps as you would if your replacing the heater core. That heater box doesn't have to come out but it does have to be loosened. I believe its 3? bolts that go through the firewall then there is one small sheet metal screw that is upside down in front of the box.after that remove the passenger side dash bolt so it has some play. disconnect all wires and vacuum line and then ya can pull out the box enough to replace that seal.
  6. Hey Don, Ya can send those this way anytime. I'll even cover ya for shipping just to show how nice of a guy I am.
  7. I think I got turned on from watching that :brows:
  8. I would think ya could find that at home depot or lowes. something like that.....
  9. can't ya get a 30 day permit like ya can get here in NV?
  10. Swap out the motor for something with serious horsepower. Its a waste of money trying to get a 4cyl to sound like something its not. Stick with OEM until your ready to beef it up the right way and get the sound you want.
  11. Hey Jim, a grinder woulda worked better. Easier to find too, I recon.
  12. Its only a belt, not the end of the world. If the only problem is no power steering it can still be driven and not be stranded.
  13. My 86 has over 255,000 on the 2.5 and other than the cheap junk parts that oreilly auto sells, it hasnt failed me one bit.
  14. :agree: :yeah that:
  15. mine had em too. didnt notice the high mounting point at first. good eye, Rob.
  16. They look to be aftermarket style but the MT had that style. Do yo have factory mounts in the doors for those or did somebody just bolt em on?
  17. not bad. mount it up higher and it should be damn near a flat match
  18. How is your swr with that antenna mounted so low???
  19. yeah and installed a rubber grommet
  20. The important thing with any CB setup is tuning. that will determine your antenna location. Quality of antenna and coax does make a difference too. You also want to run your coax away from anything electrical. If your antenna is not properly tuned it will effect your range on both transmit and receive. It can also put strain and damage on your radio. I personally run dual 4ft antennas mounted to the toolbox behind the cab. Radio is mounted on the knee panel on the passenger side and the co phase harness runs under the console and through the back of the cab.
  21. Congrats man
  22. IIRC it was a 92 xj
  23. Ive got a visor on mine specifically for the MJ, from what I understand the distance between the rain gutter and top of the roof line is higher??? on the XJs. or maybe its the other way around. Either way I doubt it would look that great seeing as how it wouldnt line up properly and would probably risk cracking the visor if ya force it too much.
  24. scored one at the yard the other day for $5
  25. Hey it gives ya an excuse to come to Vegas. haha If ya fold it in half, it just might fit in your carry-on.
