  1. As long as you carry over everything you should be ok. I just put a 98 in a 91 but that is HO to HO and even still had its differences although minor. If I'm not mistaken the intake may not line up perfectly on the HO head.
  2. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :jump:
  3. That is called a vibration damper and the rubber in it has walked out causing the belt to ride incorrectly. Just buy a new one. Any local auto parts store should have what you need in stock or not long off.
  4. I would be really really careful if you decide to coat the inside of the tank. Lots of those sealers peel off and clog up the fuel system in short order. I think the only real good one is POR15.
  5. So the door handle is just poking out and will not open the door. :wrench: What in the world?
  6. I know Isuzu has a drain plug somewhere on its 44's.
  7. Wow I've never seen that before.
  8. Of course they will. An alignment on a Y-link steer Jeep depends on a static height. Bowing coils will lower that height and toe out the front end ergo higher tire wear. Not to mention the control arm adjustment isn't spot on any longer either.
  9. Did you read anyone's replies before posting :wall:
  10. Spring is there. Its not the spring. Its like a mechanical block. I can't even open the door from the inside. Its the passenger door.
  11. Look harder. Your 97 has a bolt on dipstick tube just like all other 4.0 blocks. My 98 has a bolt on dipstick tube and so did the 91 I pulled.
  12. Why won't my interior door handle retract? I can only open the door from the outside :fs1:
  13. Unbolt the dipstick tube from the side of the block. Pull it all out.
  14. I had a heavy ridge of carbon making my throttle plate do as you're describing.
  15. i have stock shocks on my 88 with the spacers... i have 3" longer shocks on my 92... both ride nice With 2.5" spacers did you do new shocks? I want to do 2.5" and keep stock shocks since i don't wheel. I'm glad the 88 works with stock shocks. Now I just need to find 2.5" spacers and I should be on my way.
  16. We told you not to put play-dough in the tank.
  17. Ok! Good to know. This means I will be needing to find some junkyard 4wd leafs before I put on the shackle and spacers!
  18. Pete, 2WD's have different front coils? What about rear leafs? So would 4wd XJ/MJ coils give me another inch? Harsher ride?
  19. With 2.5" spacers did you do new shocks? I want to do 2.5" and keep stock shocks since i don't wheel.
  20. Squeaky squeaky and wear out fast as balls. Rubber lasts for a decade whereas the harder poly just wallows out. Poly is just an 80's fad that hasn't died out because 1. people still think its an "upgrade" and 2. its easy to mechanically machine instead of having to pour like rubber.
  21. Does anyone know where I can get some chevy lowering brackets with rubber bushings instead of the stupid "sport" poly crap?
  22. Not by much (around .25 on each side).
  23. I like doing AC work when its cold out/low humidity. As far as I can tell the AC does not work. I assume a charge is the first step. Then what? During the engine swap I had the condenser up front all wrapped to the side so I didn't crack a line. Isn't a 91 R12? I would want to convert to something cheaper but then I would have to redo all the rubber hoses. Can anyone explain what I should be looking to do?
  24. These guys really know what living is all about. I like to think that their support vehicle is a 92 LWB 4wd MANche.
