  1. Regardless of the problem you should trade! Or did you already trade?
  2. If your stock ones are loose you can try what I did and wrap them in self bonding tape. Its a rubbery tape you can buy at homedepot and is used in electrical work where being water tight is important. Just wrap up the back of the light and ease it into the hole. There is also a silicone tape you could use. Tabs are a thing of the past when you can get as good of a fit as I've achieved.
  3. That is beautiful! Any parts lists, links to build, or other pictures? Seems like a wonderful way to have a nice ride and load capacity at the same time.
  4. Chapman Automotive has one in Hillsborough, NC. Out of an 89 MJ with 123,000 miles. 919-732-3410 Baker Truck Parts in Greenville, SC has one out of an 87. 864-277-9479 I can't guarantee the accuracy of the above information but it should be good. Hope it helps.
  5. It looks wild! I wonder if you could try it off a small simple hill to get the hang of gliding before going all out.
  6. Is the rear u-joint at the axle a 1310 size?
  7. Rockers at Rockauto.com Cab corners from the junkyard.
  8. Please don't spend $160+ for a plastic box. There has to be a substantially better way to spend $160+.
  9. You could always get a pair of WJ front lower arms if you get steering rub at lock.

    Who's in!?

  11. They sure do. So all you have is 2.5" of lift and 31's?
  12. Oh wow thats nothing for power. It better get 27-30 mpg when its that low on torque!
  13. Isn't the om617 a huge drop in performance from an H.O. 4.0?
  14. During my axle swap I'll be rewelding perches anyway.
  15. Can a 2-3" lift soa be accomplished without losing load capacity?
  16. As long as you don't constantly lift a tire offroad, a traclock is an amazing differential. The whole "clutch disks wearing" is more of a fantasy than a reality. You will really enjoy that traclock. If you want you can install a Powerlock (4 spider gears) but I doubt you would ever stress it to the point of needing that.
  17. On the manual transmission models there is an inner and outer shift boot. My inner boot is torn and I would like to replace it. The dealer says the inner boot is discontinued but I got an outer boot. Any ideas where I can get an inner boot or an aftermarket inner boot that I could just drill holes in the mounting flange and adapt?
  18. I too would be interested in any disassembly and reassembly how-to's on the GM column.
  19. Wonderful looking Jeep! What brand are those tires?
  20. I have no affiliation with the seller but I was looking for alternative power steering coolers than the one I have and came across this. Its NOS and priced cheap. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOS-OEM- ... 500wt_1182 Hope someone can cool off an automatic or steering pump with this original part.
  21. Hit all of them with some PB Blaster before you get at them so they turn smooth. The long adjuster bolt should definitely get a spray.
  22. Thanks folks. I ordered some 5.25" Pioneer's.
  23. What if I don't want the gross aftermarket speaker grill and just to replace the factory one over the door panel? Will it fit back there or do I have to trim up the door? If I have to spend too much time on the project I might as well suck it up and put in 5.25" speakers.
  24. My stock door speakers are shot. Real nasty rattle. Now I could just bolt in some 5.25" speakers but its a boat load cheaper to buy 6" name-brand speakers. Will I be able to just shoot in some self tapping screws to make the 6" speakers work?
