  1. got mine at my buddies J/Y
  2. that looks to me like the rear is only about 1.5-2" taller not 4"? I can't see how you neted over 8" of lift in the rear just by doing a SOA. I got only 7.5 when i did mine and i have longer shackles too. I think your measuring the rear wrong...measure from the top of the axle tube to the inside edge of the framerail by the rear bumpstop and lemme know what that measurement is and i can help you figure out how much the front has to come up to match..
  3. TPS voltage is supposed to be at .85 IIRC
  4. yea when i got my XJ the blower only worked on "HI" setting...i changed out the resistor and has worked great ever since
  5. its on the passenger side under the dash..youll see the the box and there should be a cover with two screws holding it on..pull that cover and theres a connector and a resistor held in by 2 more screws..pull them and replace
  6. if it only works on the high speed setting there is a little resistor on the front of the box....replace that and your speed selection should work again...now the other thing is a stumper to me
  7. I wondered the same thing b/c my 87 Chief has one...but then i saw a 2wd base model at my buddies j/y and it had a factory 44and Metric Ton springs so who knows exactly
  8. i gave a couple the other day....put me down for some more tonight
  9. AMC 20 was only in the 86's....the d35 and d44 were in the 87-92 models
  10. door key..mine is a PITA and it takes some jiggling to get it to turn
  11. Well i have mixed opinions about the closed system...i bought my MJ in 2004 and it overheated on me..so i went and replaced ALL the closed system componets including a new cap and pressure bottle and 3 weeks later overheating....checked everything...no apparent problems? drove it around a couple days with no problems then the expansion tank blew up while the truck was idling at my G/F house...by this time i got fed up and just swapped to a open system and havent had any issues since..my electric fan on the MJ has always been on a switch also but the truck never gets over 210 unless in traffic. Now on the XJ i replaced all the components shortly after i took posession and ran into the exact same problems so i switched it over and it still has the factory thermistor in the open style radiator so my electric fan WORKS AS IT SHOULD!! comes on when it supposed to and amazingly goes off when its supposed to. i don't think its a waste of money but as everyone has stated it not neccessarily and upgrade but i feel that the pressure bottle is an inadequate piece of equipement and there should be a radiator cap in the system
  12. Well its been a while since i updated this thread especially with pics: Here is a new side shot as of today: Front end with black grill and you can see all the new lights: The sliders: underside to show protection: Upgrades to the interior: CB Autometer Transmission Temp Guage: Exterior and other soon to be upgrades: 97 mirrors: 96 Booster/Master: And my new 32*11.50 R15 Goodyear Wrangler A/T that i got at work for $10 bucks :D No pic of it but i also upgraded the electric fan to the late model XJ fan...instead of 6 flat blades i now have a 10 S-bladed style
  13.   I love everything about you MJ...just can't get enough of it...wish my 87 Chief looked so good
  14. its the power/comfort switch....the later models don't have them b/c they are "hardwired" to power...you can run either.. Comfort setting is a lower/softer shift point and you get a slightly better MPG Power setting will rev longer and shift a tad harder My XJ has this switch and mostly i just leave it in the comfort setting just to get the slight MPG increase is all
  15. sweet! thats great that the TJ shifter is a direct swap for the NP231..i got a spare one in the garage!!
  16. 12.5" wide tire at the least
  17. yea too bad i have the ba 10/5 in the MJ...TnT is the only longarm kit i know of that will work with the Ba 10/5 trans :headpop:
  18. http://www.colorado4x4.org/vbb/showthread.php?t=127718 check here...the Y-link for the Aw4, Ax-15 is $779.00 if you got a ba 10/5 its full price
  19. also look behind the door...there is no separation between the "bed" and "cab"
  20. Why you gotta be copying me HUH!!! Just kidding looks good...can't wait to see it done
  21. My MJ with 7.5" of lift on brand new 33*12.5 R15 is 6'2" from the ground to the roof
  22. your right...i was away from the MJ and assumed they were that way...mine are the same direction as yours but i didnt have a problem when i put mine on
  23. on my JKS i think that my pin faces the other way so that i don't have the "interference" issue with the trackbar bracket
  24. yea they do kinda look wide but so did my daystars and i just greased them up and they slid in...be careful with those chevy shackles..i have seen several set of them fold like tacos on the trail
