  1. Persistent water leak after the rain on passenger floorboard. I always assumed it was the fresh air intake. It was wet enough day after to where it finally left a good trail and it’s coming directly from this hole with some sort of hose(?) coming out of it and going into the dash. There’s just a hole where light gets through. When I pull on the thing there’s a little cone shaped piece, is that supposed to plug the hole? If so, I can’t get it to stick. I read an old thread that a common leak point was the antenna grommet on the passenger side. Is that what I’m looking at?
  2. Just eliminating any possibilities. It’s certainly not the exhaust, correct?
  3. Just what I was looking for. Thank you!
  4. Sorry, I tried looking for previous threads as I’m sure they exist but I can’t find any while I’m on my phone. for the pre-HO Comanches, what emblems were on the tailgate? AFAIK there was a 4.0 litre chrome badge back there. if so, can anyone give me the measurements on its placement?
  5. Even with your lift and tires it's honestly ridiculous how tiny it still looks compared to these vehicles. I couldn't even tell you weren't stock ride height and tires lol
  6. Cool! Thanks for sharing. These pictures are awesome. Although, isn't that a YJ?
  7. Anyone else have their David v. Goliath photos of their Comanches next to modern full size trucks? It’s always so comical to see the size disparity and to realize that most have the same size bed (or smaller) as the Comanche

    Thanks guys

Nothing bad is happening, I just wanted to thank everybody on the site for how awesome yall are. I feel very lucky to already have gotten one of my dream vehicles (dream truck overall!) so early in my life. I'm coming into 4 years of owning this thing already and it's been my favorite vehicle that I've owned by a mile, but it was always kind of bittersweet not knowing any XJ people let alone MJ people to chat, hang out, and share the love with from 2022-2025. This little corner of the internet is so great and I love that I finally have a resource/outlet to let out my deranged and sometimes downright stupid questions. Thank you guys for having me!
  9. Ahh very good catch. I totally forgot it was a 2.5. My bad!
  10. It could be worth checking out the fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator in that case
  11. That’s quite low. You’re looking at about 31psi at idle
  12. Any possibility that you have parasitic draw coming from somewhere? Sound system maybe?
  13. I've had horrible luck with the parts store reman alternators. I'm on my third one, luckily it has a lifetime warranty, but the quality and lifespan is such a mixed bag. Next time it goes out I'm planning on getting a brand new unit from RockAuto. That seems to be the only way to assume you're not getting a beat up and used alternator with a fresh coat of paint. I've already been screwed over and stranded thrice because of an alternator, so I'd recommend just picking one up as collateral. Rockauto has a brand new 100 amp ACDelco unit for $80, no core charge.
  14. I’ll take the fall for the eventual CC exposé that comes from this
  15. A true Jim and Don classic
  16. Good Lord
  17. PO didn't have the correct adapters for the aftermarket pump so he tied a big fat zip tie around the pump and strainer. It was at least a few years old being almost always submerged and it still looked brand new when I pulled the pump out, so you should be OK.
  18. No problem. I wish that pump best of luck. I'd like to think all the MTS pumps going out are from people running their fuel tanks with too little gas too often lol. Previous owner didn't even install a strainer on the fuel pump that he re-installed, so no wonder it went out so quick.

The more expensive one comes with the adapters you need. That's the one I ended up getting. They're brand new
  20. My truck’s vin yes. Came up as classic black. Apologies I wasn’t sure if you meant some other vin from the vehicle the panels came from or something lol.
  21. Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised if they just grabbed the front end parts from the first pre-97 XJ that they saw. Is your engine bay painted blue like the exterior?
