The two large flat plugs are for switches (fog light, cargo light, auto trans power/comfort) not sure which ones, have to find the wire color codes. The two with orange/black wires and round sockets are for the light bulbs that illuminate the switch panels.

Can you shift through the gears when the engine is off?

Why would bad front sockets only affect the right rear? Replace the socket that's giving you problems and go from there.

I had the exact same problem, replaced the socket as 64 Cheyenne advised and that solved it.

No dome light, only B-pillar lights. There is also wiring behind the knee panel for courtesy lights, the Laredos probably came with them, the lights look like this and can be found in many XJs at the wrecking yard. Make sure you get the correct year range.

I've pulled several OEM sets off of XJs at the JY but have never come across any with part 31 in Eagle's diagram, has anyone found these?
