If your father was an executive and his is the standard bronze color without a number, there goes the theory regular workers got the bronze ones and management hot the gold ones.
For injectors: There's a little wire clip around the connector you have to remove, I use a pick, then the connector pulls right off. They're pretty springy so make sure you don't loose them.
Minuit came up with the paint suggestion in a different thread. I am currently populating the registry list with that info if it's in the build sheet. I'm going by paint code and what is listed in the parts/service manuals since the description could have changed.

Sorry, they are not. The splash guards will hopefully be reproduced, "we" are working on that. When/if they're available they'll be listed in the Vendor section.
Full size spares were an option and they would have been the same as the other wheels. The picture above is of the compact spare which was different than any other wheel available.
