Just a quick update; today me and my dad looked at the lights and after playing with the power probe under the dash we think that the crap fog lights drawing more current and a loose connection caused the head light dimmer switch and it's Connector to burnt out. So if I replace the burnt Connector, switch and get rid of the cheepo fog lights that I should have both high and low beams again. I'll let y'all know after I do and say if it worked. Thanks again y'all for the tips! Brandon

PRODUCT REVIEW: Brown Dog Offroad motor mounts
btm24 replied to JENSSEN's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
Very nice kinda steep on cost but it seems worth it. Hope it works out great for ya in the next race. Brandon -
If you look in the Jeep parts book, there are about 25 coil springs listed for the ZJ Grand Cherokee. You have stock 6-cyl, 6-cyl with Up Country, stock V8 5.2L, 5.2L V8 with Up Country, stock 5.9L V8, 5.9L V8 with Up Country ... and various spring codes within each of those groups. It is impossible to predict how much lift he's going to get. Rough guess -- between 1" and 2". I think all years would work  Brandon

That hole will get bigger over time then one day its gonna crack down the middle and leak a gal of fluid within 5 min... thats what happened to me. To replace the bottle either go to a junk yard and get one from a xj or mj they can cost from 5-30 bucks used. Or you could get a new one for about 40 bucks from napa and a few other car part store. And the last thing you can do to replace it is build a bad @$$ box out of steel or aluminun that won't ever crack. Other then that you could convert your cooling system to an open system. Your sitting on a time bomb and need to get a "new" one asap. Brandon

aye, how ever i don't really care for the beard post... or this one for that mater. The way I see it, not many of us on here are trying to be like Brad paisley's cooler online song, so if some one on here starts to complain about there feelings getting hurt then asking to some one to help them escape from people voicing there opinions which "hurt there feelings" in the first place, then i think thats wrong. But hey thats just me don't take my opinion as gold and hold it against the forum. And even though I don't like you taking things the way you do thats not going to stop me from trying to answer your next ? you may have with my very limited amount of knowledge and personal experience because thats what were all here for. We are all here to gain new information and be helpful and i won't ever not be helpful because 'i don't like them" because i don't think thats right. But If I don't feel like I have enough knowledge on a subject to answer a ? right then ill leave it up to the "experts" to try and solve a problem and ill read along with it and gain some info my self so i can pass it on latter. I hope you just get over your self, learn from your mistakes, and move one. Brandon

Remember the springs will settle after some time and use. I know some one told me (i think it was Tom from hellscreek) if want the springs to settle faster then get a buddy to loan you there 4 wheeler and put it in the bed of the truck for a week end. I know when it came to the 4.5" lift springs from hellscreek they settled about 1 or more inches. can't wait to see them pics either! :wrench: Brandon

Oh and I'm not sure on where or how your doing this but if you are using a jack make sure you jack it up evenly on both sides of the frame, other wise it will twist the frame of the truck and you won't be able to bolt up the new leafs. Also really look into new shackles I'm not sure how bad yours are but mine were so bad because of rust I'm really surprise i didnt snap one. Have fun and good luck and be safe :wrench: Brandon

I would LOVE a key chain :D Brandon

If you looking for a 3" suspension kit (Not body lol) then this is all you need Front coils, rear short add-a-leaf, & Hydro Shocks. I'm not sure at the length of the shocks but I'm sure somebody can help out with that if you really want to know. RC and hellcreek both offer the same kit and that is who I would use. And you CAN do it your self just get a friend to do it with you and take your time. You will save alot of $ and learn a bunch if you just try thats all it takes. We are all here for you if you have any ?'s to get you though it. Brandon

WJ Booster and Master Cylinder Upgrade
btm24 replied to Comanche County's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
I did the 96 XJ BB and MC upgrade and its an amazing difference. It takes a bit getting the right size adapters and such but well worth it. Brandon -
Making your tail lights stand out from the crowd
btm24 replied to MJ is dead's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
After having done this months and months ago the paint has chipped and faded. I do not recommend ever using any type of spray on or roll on DIY bed liner. The stuff sucks. I will be redoing this very soon. Brandon -
ok so I just went out to take up the trash and I have no head lights at all :( So now it sounds like the head light switch. So I'm gonna look into getting a new one. Thanks Ya'll Brandoon

Or email pete to do it for you  Brandon

Or if you went with the waggy 44 you could convert your mj to leafs up front Brandon
-
Yeah but the head lights only go off (after i turned them on with the head light switch that you pull out) when I mess with the high beam switch not the head light switch its self. It only happens when the head lights are on and I go to turn on or off the high beams. :dunno: Brandon
