So i just got back and i had soem extra dough so i decided to fill a long awaited dream. I have wanted a .22 pistol for Small game like squirrels and such and also for range and plinkin. Soooo i got a Browning Buck Mark hunter with a 7 1/4 barrel. I had decided on a ruger MK III 22/45 but when i picked this gun up It felt better then all others. I had been looking for about a year now and i have concidered a S&W 22A and about every ruger and also prob my next buy will be a Walther P22 with a 5.5 barrel. I am headed to the range Tues to see how it does. PICS BELOW Cole

If its a stock D44 you will need to lengthen it or find a D35 driveshaft. I had to lengthen mine about 1.75"s and i went around 7"s of lift total with my D35. Now that I'm putting in a D44 i may have to go back stock or shorten my shaft. Just some info for you to consider. Cole

Well from what i have heard on some there is a Diff in the XJ but don't hold me to that. If he takes a look you can easily tell. Yeah they are hard to get out on most cause of rust and such over the years. Your best bet is to also replace the $.50 pins for smoother operation. They need to be lubed everytime you take them off so that the hinge stays nice and slippery when you go to remove them. Hope this helps you some. Cole

here's mine and i like it here. Its homemade and i ran quick connects up to the rails on the bed for easy access. Really where ever you want to fit it as long as its not in the cab should be realitivly safe for you. And if its not hanging way under it would be a good idea to. But you def want to run some quick connects just for ease. ;) Cole

You can adjust like Dirty said but they sell a tool that is very expensive and would be easy to make for what it is. Also the rebuild kits are cheap and replace the spacers inside the joint. If you havent had it long and it hasnt been out of adjustment long you may just be able to tighten it up. The guyts last awhile on them. Hope that helps you guys. Cole

i found after my messurement that the OC is around 8.5" or a bit larger. That comes out to be around 2.7 so i am going with a 2.75 perch or making my own. ????? DOES anyone know of a auto parts that would stock perches in the Southern US area????? We have Napa and Advance and Carquest but the Auto zone looked at me like i wanted a elaphant shoe or something. They had Ubolts and such but no perches. Thanks for the help. OH and dirty i can get the other messurements for you tomm when i get up. Cole

Sorry yeah its a rear MJ 44. I double checked and got close to the original and some other info i read said 2.75 and i got 2.70 and 2.72. I am not sure if I'm missing it still but i might be off a ittle bit. Thanks for the help Cole

Quick question I am getting my dad to pick up some perches from a trailer supply place and i need to know what the axle diameter is exactly if anyone knows. I messured and got 2.7" diameter but that seems small by looking at it But maybe I'm  anyway the dealership here sucks so i can't get them there. Thanks Cole

Front Coil Spring Bump Stops
JOMJ87 replied to HOrnbrod's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
you can unhook your lowers to put the springs in also.i had to do that on mine cause i exploded the cheap compressors i had. don't ask how that happened but lets just say don't buy cheap ones and use them ALOT without check them for the threads stripping out periodically. Cole -

Hey i just want you to know i made my final decision on paint after seeing your MJ with the doors on. I LOVE yours and one day mine might have to take a close to the same path. The rear flares make it have a great look. Cole

The only trimming you might need on the rear is just a the bottom corners. I only had to cut a tiny bit but now I'm going with TJ rears so i will have to cut more. Cole

There are some for sale on about every jeep speed website that sells stuff for the races. Granted they are XJ but just get older model ones like you MJ and they will work. Cole

The big plastic flapper for the rocker action is pulled up. Just in case thats what you ment Cole
-
Those are rocker style they suck to swap in cause they are high. I broke mine jumping in and out cause my truck is lifted and has those. I think you can remover the rocker portion but someone else will have to tell you how. Cole

I heard jeep was going to be up for grabs soon to i thought. I was reading it in JP or something. I think Toy would be best cause they kinda stay to the original roots of stuff and they listen to the buyer. Cole

Hey Bacon I got a favor. You think you can do a write up on the rear and maybe post soem pics. I got some flares but I'm not sure how to put them on the rear as far as alignment goes. Thanks alot. Cole -
You should set it close to parrallel with the Tcase output I think 1-2* lower is what is usally recomended. Unless you have a SYE then right at it. yopu can make the angle on you D35 to it and it will be fine. I will tell you that going SUA with a 8.8 will lower your truck a smudge from stock. The axle tube are bigger diameter thus they act like it has blocks on it. it want be to much though. Hope that helps. Cole

Fixed ther was a coma in it Cole
