  1. I have locknuts they just werent on in the pics. I really think they might be stronger then the RE ones. I may even use a similar design when i go long arm for the lowers. I am very happy with them. If they werent as big of pain as they are to make i would consider doing some up and selling them to the club members but they took about 16 hours to full up and do complete. I thought they would be easy but i had never ran a tap 8"s up pipe and also a tap that size. It took 2 hours or more for each just to tap them. Cole
  2. Here are the arms i done up to go in the jeep. total cost for the arms were around $80 and that was mostly the RE joints. My dad had the threaded rod and i had the tube and plate. they turned out amazing. They are made from like 5/8ths tube and i think that the plate was like 5/8ths but I'm can't recall. Tell me what you think Cole
  3. Well i know that one was a CB cause the antena wire was recently fetched out and it was no radio one. I need to plug that hole though thanks for reminding me. OH and i just finished my Uppers and they will get paint tomm. ill take some pics. I will not be putting it in until early in the week. along with my new 4.88 D30 :brows: Cole

    Co2 tanks?

Where did you guys get your regulators and does anyone have a cheap source for them. I got a tank but no regulator to run it. Cole
  5. Well Eagle has been the only one to agree with my other findings and messurements but i think i will try 3/8ths and if it is 1/2 then i can go back and redo the mount or something. I already have the joints and i need it in ASAP so i can put the 4.88s in the front. I think i am going to look in a Service manual and see what it lists if it does. Cole
  6. Well the issue i have is the frame mount area. The RE joints are made for 3/8ths or 10mm but the holes in the frame are going to be 1/2". I don't think it would cause to much of a problem but i just want to make sure. Thanks for your help. Cole
  7. OK i am making new uppers for my MJ and for now they are going to be short arm so cause my plan for long arms isnt quite ready but i want to go wheeling soon. Anyway I bought the small RE super flex joints for the upper portion (the frame Mount) well my dad mesured the stock bolt whol in the stock bushing on stock XJ arms and it says 1/2". My RE joints are 3/8" so there lies a problem. I messured mine as best i could but with a tape you can't get real accurate. SO finally my QUESTION is what is the stock bolt size on the upper mount on the upper arms. Thanks Cole
  8. OK the rear is in. I have painted it but after a few close calls to it and the truck falling I am going to need some touch up. It came a bad storm so i have a few things to button up tomm. but all is looking great except my D-Shaft i am going to need to shorten it back up. I think i will be happy with the new 4.88s to. The brakes were a pain cause i have to clean so so much grease off. I spent 6.5 hours on it today making sure everything was good. Also the axle has all new seals and bearings so it should be set until i break it if that ever happens. Next i will do the front and the uppers will be put on then also. then i am doing an enterior swap while i wait for the motor i am getting to be ready to get put in. I got alot of work to do before mid august but i chould get it done then i will have pics from Gulches ORV park and hopefully some of yall can join me. I will post pics of everything i can tomm. Cole
  9. I love the hot rod look on the hood i have seen quite a few old musle cars like that and i have always loved it but i never thought of it on the MJ. You might throw a strip or something down the side to match maybe just the rear corner of the bed that would look great. Love the work you have done. Cole
  10. I know the 15 is a stronger tranny but as far as ratios the only thing i might think of is there may be a a higher ratio in the 15 due to the more power of the 4.0. Cole
  11. Maybe a reading of running hot would cause it to run rich??? I have never heard this brought up but i know bine is broke right now and I'm running rich after it warms up and this could be a cause but I'm not real sure. Not really any help to you but I'm interested to know this also. Cole
  12. Hang on you were waiting in your truck on the school bus yto go to school??? Now I'm not sure if you know this but you can drive MJs on the road most of the time. They even go faster then a school bus if your lucky. :D Cole
  13. The look like most others i have seen. I havent used them but they look as though they would work well its just a question of what steel did they use to make them?? Thats what i would try to find out. Cole

    Bicycles

Well you have brought up a passion of mine other then jeeps. I own a Gary Fisher Sugar 4 and a old old freestyle bike set up for dirt jumps. I love riding and as of now I'm in the wrong place. Where i live now is so flat that you don't have much fun. I plan on going back to my home town in NC in about a month for a weekend of riding. I don't have pics either but this is what my mountian bike looks like. Cole
  15. Thats unreal... ... I would love to have that one Eagle. I think i am going to start looking at a S&W 357 that a guy i know has up for sale. I don't know if i am going to go for it now or not but it can't hurt to think about it. Cole
  16. Thanks I am headed to NC and I may not be on much but i will try to keep a look and see what he says. Any other gurus out there?? Cole
  17. Well i figured 500 would be good but i didnt want to deal with ebay so i searched and found one for sale with a semi working motor but the body was is just as bad a shape as this one and he wanted $4000  So i wanted to see if anyone on here had any experience with these or knew how much it SHOULD go for. Just trying to see how high it will go. The more I make the more i get for the MJ and that could mean those Krawlers I have been wanting or maybe a new stronger front axle. Who knows i got alot on my wish list. :D Cole
  18. Weel she found out she was pregnant about a month before i left. When i headed out she was 6 weeks anda few days and now we only have 12 weeks even though she is 7 months (wierd math doctors use they don't count a month so they get 9 total). Anyway the deal is i get it FREE so i think i can make a few dollars on it don't you :brows: I just want to know how much i should ask for it. Cole
  19. Camera phone pics i forgot about... Cole
  20. So i have found a M151A2 that i can get ahold of real cheap. But here's the deal. I don't have much time to put into another project nor the funds (baby due 1 Sept.) so i am looking to get it and maybe turn right around and see what kind of profit I can make. The info I'm needing is Are there any of you in that kind of jeep scene?? Also how much would one expect from a 1978 M151A2 with F/R independent suspension without a running motor and the body is not in the best shape. The floor boards need replaced and theres a dent on the drivers side. I can try to get some pics soon but I'm going out of town tomm. Thanks for any and all help. Cole
  21. Well it shot well When the bullet sounded like i feel it should but there were so many that cracked real loud and got slung way off. I think with good ammo i can get some good groups. I am shooting again thurs up at my Dads in NC so ill really test it out then. Ill post some targets if they are worth it. Cole
  22. You could take a grill from a TJ/YJ and cut it down to fit there. Then use the KC thin lights. that might look cool. Cole
  23. Your are correct Eagle. After reading your post i agree with everything you say. The only reason i think what i previously posted is because Of actual test shots into human dummy's. I read a report that a .22 will do more damage then a 9mm because of its ricochet factor once it enters the body. A .22 will bounce off bones and such and shred the inside of a person. They also showed the affect on a skull and it destroyed the fake brain they used because once it went in it didnt exit it just danced around. But yes you are correct about using it a CCW gun in that you would just make some guy that is doped up more angry with you. Thanks for the input i will take it to heart. comanche-man22- It wasnt to bad it was a little higher then others but i got it NIB for $335. Most Rugers/Browning i had looked at were higher then this and not as comfortable in my hand. I love it but after shooting today i will no longer buy Federal ammo bulk packs i had 9 Fail to Eject. Cole
  24. I believe the kit is only 20 bucks. They are simple by design once you crack them open. Its got a worm drive thingy and the box itself. The seals go bad and they will leak (like mine is) from the nose or from the pitman arm area. As far as being clogged i think if you just take the case apart and clean it really good and un gunk everything you might have it fixed but while your in there go ahead with all new seals and such cause they may not like being seperated then reasymbled. I am getting ready to do mine in a few weeks but i have taken 3 apart for various reason and its pretty easy. Hope this helsp and good luck. Cole
  25. That is a nice gun. I am wanting one of the P22s with the 5.5 barrel and then I'm going to get a 3.4 to carry for CCW. I know its only a .22 but if you hear a bang a then feel metal enter your body then i think you might stop no matter how big the caliber is. Plus 10 shots center mass would stop you if you didnt feel the first few. 8) I am excited to go shoot tomm. I just wish our range was open more then 4 hours and 3 days a week and weekends. I love the gun you have CW i bet it drives tacs. Cole
