  1. If it is a factory 88 4.0 metric ton with a stick it should be a d44 rear with 3.07 gears. Should be. Anything can happen in 27 years
  2. I don't think the bushwhackers require trimming but I am not sure
  3. Need more info. If it is an '86 m/t it is an AMC20. One year deal. As to gearing that mainly depends on your engine tranny combo. "Metric ton" alone tells us almost nothing. An '88 4.0/auto will be 3.55 regardless of the rear springs for example
  4. A pic is worth a thousand ..... That does put it in perspective
  5. Fish plate? In VERY simple terms think of it as running a large washer under a bolt head to distribute the load. It is a plate placed over a repaired area or one subject to exta stress to spread the load
  6. I am going to try to make that as well. My shift parking trailers ends at 3. Looking forward to it
  7. The tie rod is common if it was the stock pieces
  8. Found this on FB Image Not Found It shows the hole pretty well
  9. I thought that too Yeah, I admit, that's funny. :P
  10. I do as well
  11. Cruiser has been drug kicking and screaming into the latter part of the 20th century :)
  12. I personally would not clean that line and trust it, either. To each their own. I bent all new lines for mine and it really wasn't to bad in effort and cost Just duplicate the original
  13. It looks good. Is it functional? It doesn't appear to have much in the way of additional mounting points or the like
  14. Yeah I have a factory cable off of a '94 for my swap. It is not very long
  15. I know pictures of the various points would be helpful for people reading this thread later. My google-fu must be weak today as I cannot turn up anything on this from prior posts.
  16. I think requiring such a deposit up front is the only way to protect yourself.
  17. I think that may be the issue between the lengths? Column versus floor?
  18. On my '91 I it was simply that the connections at the pump were corroded. A little cleaning and it was good as new
