  1. With boxing'a crooked history and no one knowing the score until it magically appears at the end I just cannot get into it. Add in that a controversial victory just means more money in a re-match and it is a recipe for disaster. They should post scores after each round at the minimum
  2. Do you know the entry fee for Friday? I want to do the trail ride if I make it out. I can't make it Saturday...
  3. The '94 column is identical to the '91 column from what I can see with the one still in the truck. I am not sure about the changeover to a renix but with what I have found out today I think it is safe to say that at least the '91-'94 columns interchange. When I get the thing installed will post up. It will be a bit as I am replacing the floors, putting in XJ buckets and console, an RADesigns rock & rail shifter combo, and the column. Thanks for all of the help.
  4. I am going to go pick up that '94. I will let you know if it works.
  5. Mnkboy oughtta whip up a couple of sets of those.... :brows:
  6. I just found some info that 91-94 should be the same with 95 being the change-over year. Two different sources. So maybe I got lucky on a $10 column. Per Rock auto 91-94 use the same ignition switch/cylinder & starter switches ( big one on the coulumn) so that is promising
  7. That is me in a nutshell. Spend 12 hours on a 2 minute fix
  8. Yeah. I have a 91 column shift. I need some floor repair ( Yea Ohio) so I am switching to buckets and a console at the same time. I just found a '94 XJ floor shift column with tilt CHEAP and it doesn't even wobble. It is similar and has the old-style wheel '94 column:
  9. I am looking to swap in a tilt column as I swap in buckets, a console, and floor shifter. Can someone tell me what years of XJ tilt column would work in my '91? If it is just the key/ignition switch that is different having different door & ignition keys doosen't bother me as us old dudes were used to having two keys, anyway. Thanks
  10. I think that ones the mammogram reminder... That is funny. Especially considering the factory installed 36G's. And yes that is the kind of think that will excuse many 5:40 am phone calls.
  11. So my OSDP ( opposite sex domestic partner) calls me at 5:40 in the morning last week. She goes to work at 6. Anyway she had pulled over because there was a strange warning light on the dash of her 2014 Traverse and she was afraid something was wrong with the car. To her credit she checked the owners manual and could not find this warning light..... She had accidentally turned on the fog lights for the first time.....
  12. In Canadian models only Maple leafs will trigger it.
  13. The majority of d30's seem to have come with 3.73's or at least people wanting to change them making the one you need less popular? Otherwise yeah it makes no sense for the same basic part? Good luck
  14. http://www.rustysoffroad.com/jeep-driveline-driveshaft/jeep-lockers-arb-air-lockers-lock-right-detroit/detroit-locker-truetrac/detroit-truetrac-model-30-3-54-down.html http://www.summitracing.com/parts/dtl-912a584/overview/ Over a dozen options simply by typing in "Dana 30 TrueTrac" in Google and knowing the gear ratio to pick between the offerings. Who woulda thunk it?
  15. If they would have made this combo from the start.... ChryCo has been/is more tied to Hyundai/Kia ( same company for those that haven't figured out it is like Chevy/Pontiac) then some might think through their various ownership/investment deals with Mitsubishi. Mitsu has invested in Hyundai over years. Hyundia licensed ( mostly outdated) technology from Mitsubishi who was in bed with Chrysler for decades . Kia actually come to them from the Ford/Mazda partnership. The early '90's car sold here as the Festiva was sold as both a Mazda and as Ford's version of the Escort in lower Asia when they claimed that the Escort was a "world car" available all over. But I digress....lol. ChryCo should have made the Patriot the way the 1/4/15 models are from the beginning. That Jatco CVT is and was a huge mistake.
  16. I am dealing with jeepsticker.com on some custom color emblems. He is vey obliging and willing to help.

    Mini Moke

Mini Moke + Excursion = siphon hose for removing bodies :)
  18. Sun, shade, sound package... 5-speed. I liked it. There is one about 1/2 mile from me just sitting and...the guy won't sell it.
  19. Yep but then wouldn't Hornbrod be all dressed up with nowhere to go????
  20. As the Compass is exactly the same as a Patriot you won't feel any difference. The even carry the same model designation of MK I have a 2014 Patriot 4x4 as a DD. It is great on nasty winter roads and I get 24 MPG from a vehicle with as about much horsepower as a renix 4.0.Yet is almost the exact size of an XJ Cherokee and weighs more, The big difference in the MK's is that starting in '14 you could get an honest to goodness automatic transmission. The CVT used previously was junk in both longevity and performance. The 5-speed stick was little better. The Autostick 6-speed auto was a game changer for this vehicle. In addition the 6-speed gives you everything the more expensive "off road freedom drive 2" does in a cheaper, more reliable, better performing package. Is it a hard core wheeler? Hardly. But it does what was designed to do well. And remember such vehicles are needed to improve CAFE or else the brand will die. Clunks? Feel Cheap? Maybe the previous ones but not the last couple of years of refreshed models. Mine is head and shoulders above my '12 Sonic and about on par with the '14 Traverse. The early models sucked but they have got it just about right as they are getting ready to kill it. And it is not an import made by one of the few companies with a worse reliability record the ChryCo.
  21. That D60 is still a major upgrade. The issues rhebintenet saysbitbjas seem to be over stated. Most issues it may actually have under 7-8,000 # truck may not show up under MJ anyway
  22. A leaf spring front conversion is not unheard of in order to run1-ton axles. But you can buy the pieces or a kit to weld into the front axle to make it nearly bolt in. As others mentioned you would then need at least new rims and you would still have to adapt the brakes and steering
