  1. We call my cousin Willie, it doesn't bother him.
  2. An air dam is a body molding under the front bumper. On The Eliminator it should be the same color as the body, and flow into the flares.
  3. Depends on the chick.
  4. I was wondering. An Eliminator should have a decal package, too, shouldn't it? All good negotiating points.
  5. Lengthen the frame, and put a second bed on it!
  6. Not if it's pronounced correctly, sounds like Willis. It was the guy's last name.
  7. About 2 miles east of Lebam. I hope their families aren't offended. Both towns were named after the wives of railroad employees. Gender stereotyping and all that.
  8. I'll see if I can get the VIN this weekend. Waiting for my refi to close, or I might take some cash with me. Really want an HO truck.
  9. At that point, it paints like any other metal. Basically, you fill the hole with weld metal, and grind it smooth. Obviously, it's way more involved than that.

Interesting. Makes more sense, the middle seat is a lap belt only. I wonder if the RR has something to do with retractors.
  11. V-6 or 4 cylinder? The '86 V-6 is a GM product, and not highly thought of. You say no significant rust, can you see the floors? Floor coverings commonly hide rotted out floor pans. But as said above, these are pretty simple trucks I paid $1200 for my '87 4.0 inline 6, visible metal floor pans with no rust, cranking not running. I did have a little time to check it out, so I knew I had a fuel delivery issue.
  12. Best way to do it is to plug weld the holes. But that's going to create a lot of work.

My '87 has the same CGX headrest code, but doesn't have head rests. I think that may be a reused code.
  14. Now that you mention it, I agree. I bought a '96 for the son about 8 years ago, and it did feel better than the rest I have driven. Only HO, and the newest I have driven.
  15. I think that it really depends. There are several of the COTM builds I would consider that with the mods are worth more than the original value of the truck. This one hasn't pulled it off. Different front and rear flare systems. Bedside armor on one side and not the other. Paint that doesn't match. In my opinion, it's worth about $6000, at this stage. I think they lose a lot since so many things were done kinda fast, maybe even half fast... I would say 10 to 12, if everything was done, or as a pristine '92 HO.
  16. School? That was work, about 5 years in. On a Compaq with an 8088 processor, a green phospor 6" monitor. It was a portable, looked like a sewing machine. We still used a mainframe for a lot of things. I usually entered my stuff myself, but we had a few people that filled out forms by hand and sent them in to be entered by key punch operators.
  17. Thank Goodness. Now this thread can finally be done.
  18. I think you're on the right track, but what's the condition of your catalytic converter?
  19. My understanding is that it is also boosted less, so it significantly improves road/steering feel. The physical box is the same.
  20. I shouldn't comment, I learned to use a PC with MSDOS, MSWord, Lotus123, single sided 5.25" floppy discs. All Windows does is eat up RAM.
  21. I'm pretty sure he missed it, too.
  22. So true. I concussed myself snowboarding, slipped and fell on the ice coming off of the lift. I don't remember the drive home, but the doctor told me (a couple of weeks later, when I finally went in) I was done for the season.
  23. You would be surprised how durable humans are. I was at a rear end traffic collision, early Pathfinder into the back of a School Bus where the driver of the Pathy left a quarter size hunk of his scalp on the windshield, and refused to go to the hospital. I understand that he had headaches and neck pain for several months, from a mutual acquaintance. Thank goodness for the Lug Nut Rule, not a single kid was injured.

    Production years?

I read the thread when jscherb created the prototype of that one. And his Pickup build. Amazing skills.
  25. Ahhh hmmmm hubby huh huh! Hmmm, spell checked version first. Original text: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! And, On to 9.
