V-6 or 4 cylinder? The '86 V-6 is a GM product, and not highly thought of. You say no significant rust, can you see the floors? Floor coverings commonly hide rotted out floor pans. But as said above, these are pretty simple trucks I paid $1200 for my '87 4.0 inline 6, visible metal floor pans with no rust, cranking not running. I did have a little time to check it out, so I knew I had a fuel delivery issue.

Best way to do it is to plug weld the holes. But that's going to create a lot of work.

My '87 has the same CGX headrest code, but doesn't have head rests. I think that may be a reused code.

I think that it really depends. There are several of the COTM builds I would consider that with the mods are worth more than the original value of the truck. This one hasn't pulled it off. Different front and rear flare systems. Bedside armor on one side and not the other. Paint that doesn't match. In my opinion, it's worth about $6000, at this stage. I think they lose a lot since so many things were done kinda fast, maybe even half fast... I would say 10 to 12, if everything was done, or as a pristine '92 HO.

School? That was work, about 5 years in. On a Compaq with an 8088 processor, a green phospor 6" monitor. It was a portable, looked like a sewing machine. We still used a mainframe for a lot of things. I usually entered my stuff myself, but we had a few people that filled out forms by hand and sent them in to be entered by key punch operators.

My understanding is that it is also boosted less, so it significantly improves road/steering feel. The physical box is the same.

I shouldn't comment, I learned to use a PC with MSDOS, MSWord, Lotus123, single sided 5.25" floppy discs. All Windows does is eat up RAM.
