Can't tell if it is a Globetrotter or a Tradewind, but its about a '68 so it would have been worth $20K min for the Airstream, maybe as much as $40k... what a douche!

Hey... Wood is great in compression! lol In PA and MI, they all use hockey pucks for body lifts lol
-
The lower truck has so much potential if they had just used a truck cab instead of a Jeep! Imagine it with a riveted aluminum crew cab made from a Pete cab/sleeper and an all aluminum flat panel bed... Sad part is he probably destroyed a $5k Pete hood to make it lol

I second that opinion - look sharp!

Been there, done that! LOVE the color - I'm thinking very seriously of repainting my MJ and or my D90 that color or a little darker like the Renegades and Charger color. I SO hate metallic paint!

I've sprayed everything everywhere over the years. You can spray in the yard if you wet the grass down lol. I like the lphv top load cheap guns from Harbor Freight for DIY stuff. I currently have a temp booth made out of 2xs and plastic. Led lights from HF on wall and ceiling - lighting means everything when you are painting. Down draft - filters in the top of room, fan at the bottom. Wet the floor to keep down/attract dust. Any compressor will work if it keeps the volume you need. NO oilers - don't use lines that have been used with a oiler for air tools. I use disposable water filters inline and manual reg at gun. Have a water filter/separator at tank. Just going take practice. Have test panels to spray on until you get it setup right. Temp, air pressure, and humidity can all kill a good paint job. Base-coat is the way to go once you get going, but if you are just learning on old Jeeps, you may want to start with acrylic enamel. Have a problem - spray it thick and just sand and buff it out. Plus you can mix clear in the last spray to really make it shine. I sprayed an old CJ with Imron semi-truck paint - it is bulletproof, but it ruined my light bulbs and made the floor sticky for a month!! lol In all seriousness, you need a N95 mask at bare minimum, and a canister respirator is better. More importantly, protect your hands when using thinners - the $#!& is terrible for your liver and sucks in through your skin. Finally, watch your hose!! I don't know how many times I've drug my hose over fresh paint!!

Ran across this today - kit for 96 up for $1500. I've seen similar done on other vehicles using the roost type chargers from old GM cars. Though it may be of interest to someone on here... https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/203532231390089/?ref=product_details&referral_code=marketplace_general&referral_story_type=general&tracking={"qid"%3A"6966707029964014646"%2C"mf_story_key"%3A"991781050474143818"%2C"commerce_rank_obj"%3A"{\"target_id\"%3A991781050474143818%2C\"target_type\"%3A6%2C\"primary_position\"%3A3%2C\"ranking_signature\"%3A3809594665376677888%2C\"commerce_channel\"%3A501%2C\"value\"%3A4.1911309223235e-6%2C\"upsell_type\"%3A3523%2C\"grouping_info\"%3Anull}"%2C"lightning_feed_qid"%3A"6966705333351927217"%2C"lightning_feed_ranking_signature"%3A"4380051680465518592"}

Agree totally. For years, the only time I heard of Miller Fisher was on House, MD. lol We as a nation have dropped the ball on the virus and education in general. The webbernet is part to blame as are our leaders. We should have closed borders and gotten better control of the situation as soon as we knew something was happening. It's easy to manage a weeks worth of fly-ins, it's not easy to control months worth. At that point, it is literally beyond control. Plus, when there is no central figure/leader to require the public to do it one way, then chaos ensues. When everyone is changing the narrative and this official belittles another, etc., it breeds distrust and fear. Then you have 100,000 cases a day and a million dead. It's just sad. Don't even mention the blame game and partisan/nationalist crap. Everyone should have one goal, protect the public and stop the virus. Us, China, Democrats, Republicans, Nazis, tater-juice drinkers, etc! lol

Oh My Gawd! That is hideous! lol

That's good to know. My Dr was a military doctor and he studied vaccines and GBS for several years for the gov. He said there is a direct correlation, and I shouldn't take is at the very least until there is more time/data avail. He said that to have it twice are not good odds! lol I am almost positive mine is actually caused by the H3N2 Flu virus. I have never had the flu (or the shot) - apparently my body can kill it, but my antibodies for that variant attack me when they are done. Both years I have had it were years that the H3N2 were rampant in our area.
-
I can't take it - I've had Miller Fisher Variant of Guillain-Barré Syndrome twice now - that's a one in a billion, billion... I'm a lucky SOB! lol Apparently the vaccine can cause GBS, so if you've had it, you shouldn't take the vaccine. I'm really not in the mood to spend another week in ICU and spend $175k again!! My wife had Moderna, and the second one kicked her @$$ for 2-3 days (I'm glad that's over!! )

Have no idea what I'm paying on the MJ, but it's not much, but I'm old lol. I will say that when I had GEICO, my CJ was destroyed (building collapsed in the ice storm) that I had just finished rebuilding from the frame up - frame blasted and painted, new tub, body panels, seats, top, engine rebuild, tires, wheels, etc; I mean full rebuild. Everything redone or replaced except the trans, xfer, and axles. I told my rep that if they were going to total it and give me $1000 or something stupid I wouldn't turn it in and drop my coverage. They let me turn pictures of the rebuild, turn in my receipts for what I had, and compile a list of the rest of the parts from Quadratec. They cut me a check for almost $6000 (almost 15 year ago) and keep the Jeep. I cannot complain.

Will do. Balancing beads are here, just have to get time to mount them.

Wheels came in today! Seem to be of good quality and well packed. We'll see when we mount them - waiting on balancing beads to get here.

Jackson's 4.0 Stroker build

Everyone above has valid points - I've been researching for my own projects. I'll try to post up some additional info later - at work right now. The Spectra is VERY noisy - I'm not too fond of it. It does flow well. I'm also not too fond of the assembly of it - I have had a clamp come loose/move once before and allowed an air gap to draw in engine bay air.- 28 replies

Cool Beans, I was about ready to take a chance, but now it's a no-brainer. Thanks!!!

Totally disassembled my 5-speed WRX transmission to change gearset and forgot to put a thrust washer back in.... TWICE! Doh! You don't realized until the case is back together and it won't shift!! Also pinched the speedo gear the second time it was apart. First reassemble took 4 hours, third one took 45 mintues! I think I could get a job at a dealership now lol

Owning a salvage yard, I've had SEVERAL hoods come up while driving down the road... Did it once in my old CJ5. It makes a helluva racket when it whacks the windshield frame!!
-
That's par for the course with the rednecks down here in Kentucky! I'm surprised there's still a 350 Chevy still running!! lol
-
Reminds me of when my steering locked up on my Dodge Raider... the long bolt had backed out of the PS pump and wedged in the steering shaft U-joint! Luckily I was going fairly slow for a sharp curve and got it locked down before I took the ditch! lol

For $50, you can't expect a lot. From what I've been reading the ProComps are made in China now, and people are getting dented wheels they can't balance right out of the box and cost $30 more per wheel.

Oddly, I was never a Scout, but I was a Scout leader and Scoutmaster for almost 15 years. The local packs never stayed together when I was a kid, and my friends and our dads camped together on the lake on our farm for years. Sometimes there would be 30 or more of us camping. Basically I didn't need Scouts. When my son was old enough, he joined as a Wolf, and I volunteered to be the asst. Den Leader. The other guy never came back to another meeting, and the rest is history! My son did make Eagle and was part of OA. I never joined OA, but had the opportunity. I worked at camp and assisted with the COPE program. I did Wood Badge and most every other training as well as earning the John Burrows Award (local council nature award for learning/identifying 100s of local plants, minerals, animals, etc). If properly ran, I think kids learn more through Scouting than they do at school! Just mho.

Did the exact same thing derf when I put my pillar lights on! lol
