Sorry for delay - been busy at work and remodeling an old house in the evenings. I have had three. I just sold my NAS 94 petrol D90. I still have an 84 Defender 90 w/200 tdi and R380 conversion and a 85 Defender 110 Hi-cap pickup w/ 300tdi and R380 w/ Salisbury rear axle. The gasser was lucky to get 12 mpg w/ the 35s. The other two usually get around 20mpg.

I've been worse in my Rovers lol

It took 1/2 an hour to spray the clay off the suspension; it was caked on the top of the diff, in the springs, wedged in the control arm mounts, packed in the wheels, in the front u-joints... it was a mess!

It's doubtful in either case. I was not going very fast - I stopped at the edge to look - and it just sunk! lol. All MJs are welcome! There is plenty of ever changing terrain at a rock quarry.

Power doesn't matter when your axle is underground and pushing thick red clay! lol

Drive the MJ to work since I work in a quarry, but on the weekends its usually the wife's matte-gray Veloster turbo or my BMW e39 M5... get's about the same mpg as the Comanche!! lo

No one does - especially with the the stink-eye grill and "it's a Jeep thing" stickers lol

Well it looks like we are planning something lol. Realistically, I wonder how many trucks we could get? If its just a few, I can do it on my property, but if its large, we need a venue. Do we allow anyone else (XJs, etc)? Campground? Personal Property? Venue? We have car shows at the local golf course/hotel... nice shaded area and a large parking lot. I'm in Kentucky, pretty much midway up the coast and midway of the midwest - about as central as we can get if we are serious. Nashville or Chattanooga are also pretty close too if we have a point person to take control in either area. Input??

True. Luckily we only get salted a few times a year in KY. On the other side, it may honestly take 3 months to plan a good gathering lol

Changes have been made... It now has the Rough Country Steering Links, and a set of Cooper Discovery S/T Maxx 35x12.50R15s

We have enough members on here that we should be able to put something together. I regularly drive mine 4-5 hrs a day on the weekend - I ain't skeered! I know a lot of us are 2wd, but I hate to just get together in a parking lot, but it is what it is...

Here in central KY its really starting to to take off. We have 10 people in hospital now in a county of ~17,000 and a couple hundred supposedly quarantining. My good friend and neighbor died in late Feb from covid, and one of my best friends - good health, 62, type-A blood, died in March. 2 of my workers got it, but both recovered. I know many people who have gotten it, including my neice, and a few who have died. My wife is a nurse, but she has been working very little PRN and she is type-O, so she has been good so far as has her supervisor who is also type-O. Still have plenty of MAGA hat wearing, gun totin' rednecks that feel the need to not wear a mask and be safe and clean, but then again, that's a redneck and apparently they are everywhere. Our nursing homes went through a bad wave early on, and now another wave has started. My 90 grandmother is in a memory care center in Bowling Green, she was diagnosed last week. In less than a week, over 60 patients have it and number is climbing... fun times. I sincerely hope everyone is being safe and doing their best to protect themselves and everyone around them!

I finally read the rest of the posts, seems like the relay is the way to go. Thanks guys for jumping on this and helping to figure it out! I have a spare relay socket in the console - I know what I'll be doing in my next bit of free time! lol -

Sounds about right (sorry for delay - been busy itrw). A weak relay or a cold solder joint may be the culprit with the heat issue. -
Certain plants can deter them - Marigolds I believe is one and they are a good companion plant to tomatoes. Also, black pepper shaken liberally around the garden is supposed to help...

Just FYI, a group of MJs are going to the Badlands in Attica IN August 15. Arrive at 9:00, plan on being on the trails at 10:00. Just putting it out there.
