Anyone else been following the building of these kits? $1680 intro price, I know it includes manifold, turbo, down pipe, lines gaskets, etc... waiting to hear about fuel management. Capable of 20psi on stock internals, but looking at about 245whp at 11psi.

They cut mine and they get a hollowed out core lol. I owned a salvage yard for 15 years, they take spells where certain ones are really high. Metals are low right now, but people need money - theft is going to get worse. When they got really high, they cut every cat off at a dealer in Louisville including the ones on their new rollback!! The crafty guys use airbag jacks to raise the cars up and cordless sawzalls. Around here in KY there are a lot of foreigners (mainly Bosnian) buying/selling scrap. Most are good guys, some are not...

I broke a u-joint Sunday trying to pull a tree down (this is after I replaced axle seals Friday!).... oh well. Luckily I have a set of TenFactory axles to go in the front. Oh yeah, almost forgot; I installed my new Falken S/T Maxx tires Friday too! MUCH quieter than my dipped out Rockers. Not as aggressive, but its a DD, so I don't need them all the time. Check out that suspension travel! lol

This is what I've already figured out unfortunately. The outer seal is a standard timken Dana 30 seal (not sure how it's greased, but I did see the greasable ones on online during my research today). So, better question now is, upgrade to chromoly shafts while I'm down, or just stay stock? Thoughts?

They use the stock axle shaft, or is it different? And I'm also assuming I have a bad inner seal them...

So... The DS outer axle seal started leaking on the MJ. This is a non disconnect axle with an outer tube seal. It's this correct from the factory, or has it been retrofitted? Took it apart, inner axle was rusty and pitted, but no signs of water. I'm wondering if this wasn't an inner seal axle someone installed before I got the truck (u joint had been replaced recently). We sanded it down and put some tacky Lucas red grease on it to help with leakage, but to no avail... It's worse lol. So the big question, it's this the original axle setup or a retrofit? Also, does anyone know what inner axle I need to replace it, and is it worth it to upgrade to chromoly? Thanks in advance for the help!!

I bought the GX-A602 mainly based on size, price, and reviews. I am not a snooty audiophile - I'm in an old loud Jeep! I just wanted to be able to hear my music and fill in the gaps left by my door and cab speakers.

Busy weekend, so I didn't get a lot done, but I did install the Cherokee rear sound bar in my truck. The amp is not in yet, and the speakers are installed but not hooked-up either. I had to get it in there for fitment and to keep it out of the dirt and dust in my shop. Fitment is ok - I need to pull it up to the headliner a bit (will do that through the dome light hole). I am a little concerned about hitting big bumps off-road and head clearance with these seats; I hope that pulling it up a bit farther to headliner will help. If not, I may have to look into lowering the seats a bit. What do you all think about the look of it? I used Cerwin Vega component mid-subs and Skar tweeters. Will be powering with a small JBL 2 channel amp behind the console. I have to be able to hear the music over the roar of the 35s at road speed lol!

lol. Mine too. We bought the neighbors house when he died to keep out the crackheads, but inside it already looked like a crackhouse! lol. I have burned and hauled and cut and burned... I can't remember how much anymore. The pic below is just a sample. That room has been totally gutted - even had to replace the floor joist and outer wall plate!

Does this count? Hauling off a 'heavy' load of recycling to keep the wife happy lol. We don't have curbside out in the middle of BFE.

Here are some pics of what I did for fitment. The weekend slipped away from me (plus the weather was cold af), so I haven't gotten around to reworking everything to make the lower vent fit. I really didn't like the idea of just blocking it off. I did consider dropping the radio down and adding a MKIV VW cup holder lol, but I have plenty in the console. I didn't even consider moving the controls to the bottom and radio to the top because of trying to run the slide cable from the controls. It would go right into the side of the air box/glove box area - too much hassle. BTW, an oscillating tool is a necessity for this job. Corded ones can be had at Harbor Freight for about $30. I have a cordless in my collection of tools already. Will I consider trying to rebox the airbox when I fix the vent? I really don't know. The radio plays fine even with the heat blowing on the back, and airflow to vents seems to be fine, so I really don't know. In summer the AC will keep it cool lol.

There's a good chance we'll be heading to Nashville this weekend. When I get more info from the Boss, I'll post up. lol

Did we just pull up a topic from last May? lol. Is Greasemonkey still having problems? If so, I'd say fan clutch or water pump...

Well, the age gremlins strike again! Today I had to change out the starter; it would not start without the hammer. Had ordered a new Remy from Rock Auto, just waiting for the day. Seems like it cranks faster now and sounds better. So, to recap, new battery, fuel regulator o-ring, and starter in less than a week. This thing is nickle and dime-ing me to death lol. Cerwin Vega components came in for the overhead sound bar - that will be another days project.

Had a Mexican order a Prelude rear clip when I still ran my salvage yard. He showed up 15 minutes to close time in an 89 D21 Nissan pickup - no trailer! We loaded it and he left. As far as I know, he didn't go to jail lol.

I've been doing some work to the MJ. Added a double din Android head unit and reupholstered the head liner this weekend. Still have to address the missing center vent after the radio relocate. More to come. Speakers ordered for the overhead sound bar as well as an amp. Found a low mile window regulator to order on www.partshotlines.com, still have the harness for the lights (which may move to make room for the snorkel I bought), and the backup camera to install. When you're lifted, it's really hard to see what is right behind you!

Didn't see any bolts when I had the handle out... doesn't matter, I found that I had several extra handles still in the old Cherokees up on the hill. Score!!
