  1. I ran an auto parts store for a short time, was told by the owner we were changing suspension parts from Perfect Circle to Moog and that the Rep. would be bringing my new inventory the next day, I was all beside myself thinking I would have to unload and put away a hole truck of parts, Rep. showed up with one box full of empty boxes, we sat there and reboxed every part on the shelf.
  2. works on in tank fuel pumps to
  3. Mustang wagon, I like it, always a big fan of wagons, had an 82 AMC Concord wagon 258 5spd woody one of my favorites
  4. I wonder how much they had to pay for that title
  5. Yes I believe I have, I was the only tech that liked working on then, weren't flat rate then so I really didn't care, none of the other guys wanted to work on Renaults I was in the truck shop and we were really slow so they kept me busy. For some reason I sort of liked LeCar. If they were set up proper that little two stage carb gave them a little pep, Alliance and Encore were all right, Feugo not so much. My girl friend at the time bought an Alliance GTA it was a lot of fun. The good old days
  6. you could try larger injectors maybe, these ecu's I don't believe learned to much, even late model ecu will not handle extensive engine mods without being flashed or tuned
  7. looks nice but do then need another tank for overflow?--for nipple below cap
  8. as far as I know all parts were purchased separate. Book says nothing about a kit. Mopars way of making more $
  9. nice looking truck should handle scrapes with trees and brush well, I have never seen a black dash in a MJ

  11. front of rad. what is other end attached to?
  12. Cruiser is correct, no matter what you did seemed to continue to jump, I replaced cables and speedos to still have the problem. I hate to say poor quality parts but I believe speedos were made by same company that made them for Renault Alliance and Encore, I had several of them actually explode in dash with the pieces left attached to cable whipping around inside dash making a mess of everything that got in the way
  13. yup, especially if it has cruise, the small cable from tach generator was a big problem
  14. got it back in 84 when I was mister Renault, I believe it was a Lisle tool
  15. no, it plugs into ISA and hooks to bat. two wires to run motor in and out and I added two wires to check nose or closed throttle swwitch
  16. I have an ISA motor exerciser tool that I don't have much use for, I modified it so you can test the nose switch as well. In case you know someone that would be intrested
  17. You have a 2.5 don't you? what year? does it have the ISA motor on throttle body?
  18. Cool I visited his site the other day, would be nice to have rather than winging it all the time
  19. DRB2 will also read if you have the adapter, there is an adapter for sale on E-bay for 60 some $ saw it yesterday
  20. how well do REM's work? do you think they will last?
  21. D1 and D2 diagnostic conecters
  22. fuel pump relay needs to be hot at 30 from fusible link most likely at starter relay and 86 from ign. 85 is grnd. from ecu, so you need b+ at two places, and 87 with relay powered up
  23. take a piece of your old cable and chuck it in a drill so you can run it at different speeds to see if it still jumps, most MJ and XJ speedos jumped from new, was a big complaint in the 80s several TSBs. I replaced and rerouted many cables
  24. Yup, 44 years ago young and dumb
  25. you can only hope they will show up. When the AMC dealership I worked at closed I helped clean out building, threw out a dumpster full of Studebaker parts I could have had them all. STUPID on my part
