  1. The leaf springs in the rear will not work in the MJ. They are different lengths.
  2. Just tell the wife its for her
  3. But it doesn't look empty. Did it corner and stop alright? And I want to point out, THAT'S MORE THAN THE GLADIATOR CAN HAUL!!!
  4. https://lacrosse.craigslist.org/cto/d/la-crescent-1985-mercedes-300sd-diesel/6999033641.html 105k miles, $950. Not sure which MB diesel it has.
  5. I have had an exercise bike in mine because it wouldn’t fit in my dads long bed 3/4 ton with a topper.
  6. Or build a military style bed like this.
  7. Maybe you could sell the beds and then make a flatbed or truggy out of them.
  8. Check under the carpet for floor rust.
  9. Don’t forget to add it to the registry and check under the carpet for rust. Beautiful truck!
  10. I have a red passenger door panel and window cranks for both sides.
  11. How much would it cost to make the taillight encloses, do the body and paint work, etc.? I think just buying MJ lights would be cheaper and that kind of mod might reduce resale value.
  12. I am not a fan of the Auto Custom Carpets vinyl flooring for MJs. It is not premolded, not the same texture as factory. and it is not cut even close to factory.
  13. It has the Peugeot BA10/5. These are known for being weak Floors rust, bedsides rust, frame rusts where to front of the leaf spring mounts, sometimes rockers and cab corners rust. Swap in the 8.25 unless it has a D44 (you say it doesn’t) I can’t say whether or not you will rub, I clear 31s with about 2.5 inches of front lift without rub. Rubbing will depend on the wheel backspacing. Can’t say about SOA either. How easy it will be to learn manual on depends on the axle gearing. My guess is you have 3.07s, so it won’t be super easy. All that being said, you should get it as long as it is not SUPER rusty. Odds are it will have rusty floors and maybe bedsides. Also, rust can be fixed relatively easily if you can weld.
  14. I have been out driving it some, it runs and drives great (except the rare occasion that it knocks). I still am going to put a crank in it, but I just wanted to give a little update. I have decided I want to sell it or I would consider trades for a rust free LJ as long as it is not red or white (I prefer green).
  15. I saw these on Facebook the other day. The details are in the pictures. It was posted October 2nd and as of October 9th, I think it is still available. It is on the Wisconsin Jeep Owners Group. Link:https://www.facebook.com/groups/244825707617/. You might need a Facebook account (ughhhhhh) to view this post. If needed, I could message him to get his phone number if anyone is seriously interested. I will say though, I think I have seen this truck before and it is spray painted.
  16. Thanks. It’s Brilliant Blue Metallic. Chrysler used it from 94-97.
  17. Can you post a link to the build threads for your trucks? I would like to read more about them.
  18. Seeing as though you’ll have a camper on the back, maybe look into narrowing some 1 ton axles, or at least for the rear.
  19. I do not. It does 75 mph great.
  20. I have one, but I may not be pulling it for a while. It will be pulled late October at the earliest.
  21. Sounds great! Also, there is one someone may be interested in selling. It is in “The Pub” section under “what’s it worth”.
  22. The crank and crank bearings are wiped. I am sourcing a new crank now.
  23. My spray in bed liner-it prevents scratches when I haul things.
  24. Could you please elaborate? How much power does it add and what did you do? Thanks
