Another red one with flare issues I see. Who would have thought that it would be this hard for you to find some Colorado red flares
  2. If I were you, I’d do the headgasket, intake and exhaust manifold gasket, valve cover gasket, and maybe to plugs and wires while you have it that far apart.
  3. I’m thinking @TheJeepNut might be a pretty good bet for this.
  4. About 700 pounds worth of new to me garden tractor. I did adjust it so it would fit with the tailgate up. It wouldn’t have fit in a new half ton with the 5.75’ bed, and certainly not a new light duty short bed pickup. The Comanche was sitting level with it too.
  5. Is it normally a good show?
  6. This should be a pretty cool even for all of the ALC fans on here. I’m hoping to have the MJ and Eagle there. My brother wants to get his J10 there. Original87 I see is also hoping to be there. Is anyone else here planning on going? I did run it past the coordinators of the show, Comanches will be allowed, even though most were Chrysler era. Link to the show in the planning area:
  7. If I were you, I’d buy a bored Renix throttle body and a high altitude crankshaft position sensor. Both of those woke my truck up quite a bit.
  8. Not much new here. Got the picture taken for the yearbook today. This rig is back on daily duty since the Eagle needs more work.
  9. The rear end started making noise. It sounds like the right rear wheel bearing. I’m also experiencing an odd noise from the front end, so it’s time for gearing upgrades. I’m going with 3.55s and I’ll be running an 8.25 out back. I was hoping to find a D44, but the 8.25s are more plentiful for cheaper.
  10. New ones are about $60 from Rock Auto. I’d save the hassle of finding out it needs resurfacing/replacing after assembly and just buy a new one. But I also have a tendency to replace more parts than I need to because I don’t want to have to do the job again for a very long time.
  11. Red. That is the iconic Comanche Chief look.
  12. We are aware of that, we just need somewhere that they can be warm, dry, and out of the way. Our shed won’t have room for them.
  13. To make a long story short, my Comanche, Eagle, and garden tractors are going to be stored in a shipping container up in WI while I am in AZ for college. Ideally, they will only spend one year in WI. Anyways, has anyone had any good/bad experiences with shipping container companies for buying a shipping container? Either companies that are good or companies to stay away from are appreciated.
  14. Drop it in the registry here on CC and @eaglescout526 will get you a build sheet. He may be able to move it over for you too. It won’t be perfect, but it’ll be pretty accurate.
  15. If you are running traction bars, you should be fine pulling a leaf. That’s probably what I’d do if I were in your situation.

I see what you did there
  17. Hmmm, I’m pretty sure I have one of those radios too. Now the question is, which one do I put it in?
  18. Thank you for the kind words Buck! The bored TB is definitely worth it, and the high altitude CPS is also worth the investment. I haven’t posted anything about it yet, but it gave it more low end torque and mid range power, plus I seem to be getting better fuel mileage. The other kid who won the award with my drives a little Audi. There is one kid who drives a 73-79 Squarebody Chevy that looks to be all original, which is cool. Other than that, it’s a run of the mill parking lot that is full of mommy and daddy’s money.
  19. That can truly only be determined by how you drive it. If it’s a 4cyl, 5 speed, 4x4, 16 mpg is probably a safe guess.

    XJ Dana 44

I am searching for a D44 out of an XJ. I prefer 3.54 gears. This will just be going in my Eagle, which is why I want it to be out of an XJ—the leaf springs are both SOA and the same width apart. Hopefully located near SW WI, SE MN, or NE IA.
  21. Hmmm, I wonder if anything is interchangeable with my Eagle t-case. From my understanding, the NP128/129 was nearly identical, it just didn’t have low range. I won’t have it out for a while, but let me know if there is anything you’d want from it.
  22. Thanks for coming up to get it! It was good to put another face with a name
  23. Please keep me in the loop on that too
  24. The owners manual for a 90 with a 4.0 says 7,500 miles between changes. I give mine 3,000 between changes.
  25. So I see on Instagram that this rig moves under its own power now... @USN_JeepMJ
