  1. I'm starting my own bed collection! Picked this one up today for 400! 0 rot behind the flairs! Some scale and surface rust here and there and a few dings but otherwise clean! Intact tail light harness And upon futher investigation the driver side bedside i think was replaced with a factory replacement. Theres black ecoat under the flaking paint and in the wheel well area with not a touch of rust. This was a score of a bed If anyone wants the flairs, 2 rear side moldings, or tail light harness I'm willing to pull them off, i don't need them.
  2. I sure am. Would probably be easier to find than corvair louvers. But who knows. But i love the simple but also practical design of the 5.9 louvers
  3. Its the cleanest bed ive seen on the east coast! can't pass up this golden opportunity! Driver side of my bed. Inner is shot too. Passenger side is good though. Will be selling mine after i pick up this one
  4. What about 5.9 zj louvers? I have a set but no I'm not willing to sell lol
  5. I'm picking the bed up tomorrow and if they are good was going to shoot pete a message lol
  6. I'm actually buying the bed because I'm just north of him lol cleaner than mine hands down
  7. Green and tan, orvis colors. Also black too.
  8. Yeah currently the coin is at $91
  9. Thats always good! Old outperforming the new haha Ive done nothing to modify my trans cooling system. Mine also has an external trans cooler. Ive really only done a fluid and filter change since i owned mine. I go easy on mine too. But with 3.73 gears it takes a little longer to go into 2nd lol You should look into the borg worner oversized governor upgrade kit for these trans, it really helps
  10. Hows the 42re holding up in her? My zj is at 202k and still holding up. Though i think i need to tighten the 1/2 band.
  11. Silver/chrome edged tail lights. don't think the silver is oe but still a decent price at $150 for a near perfect shape set. https://boston.craigslist.org/sob/pts/d/stoughton-jeep-comanche-mj-tail-lights/7230342966.html
  12. Thanks for the tip, might just do that anyway. Hopefully won't pay an arm and a leg for that little section.
  13. Pete i found these on ebay. Not sure if the right color but thought of you anyway https://www.ebay.com/itm/164572305997
  14. Who out in the dry states wants to cut me out a clean section of the bottom of the A pillar for my zj? It is verh hard to find a clean zj in yards out in new england.
  15. But its still in much better shape than a lot of them out there. I would jump on this as its in way better shape than mine but i have no way to get it.
  16. This is actually the route i decided to go with in my mj once that little 2.8 quits.

    Beer

So many different, good sounding beers here! I myself am big on ipas, but i also enjoy stouts too. Jacks abbey is a great company local to me. Love their beer. Harpoon Stone Yanglings Sierra nevada Founders is a really good one for a light ipa, Session ipa Mighty squirrel brewing makes some really good sours This i found at my local liquor store and was te last craft i tried. Was fantastic, smelled like maple syrup and had a very rich, doughy taste There was also a gingerbread one too. And my dad used to run his own brewery too up in manchester new hampshire called 'third colony brewery and winery' He made some good beers too. His best seller was a maple porter. Mmhmmm so good. His brewery isnt currently going right now due to life getting in the way but he wants to open it up again. Was fun helping him brew his beer, even better i got to drink it for free lol
  19. Part out??
  20. I live in new england. They love their salt over here.. It wasnt so bad when i first got this jeep, i may have let the rust get away from me a bit.. initially i didnt think it was so bad. But after doing the rocker why stop now right? Plua this jeep has been too good to me to throw away. Even when it broke it kept on going somehow. That and its low production number makes it harder to just toss. They made less of these than the 5.9 zj. But thank you!
  21. I'm all for it but i fear there will be a LOT of these jeeps tipped and smashed from idiots who don't know how to drive..
  22. okay back to rust. Hole in apron brace, firewall, wheel well, bottom of A pillar and unibody brace. Here we go! Pulled wiring out of the way, knicked a washer hose , cut and ground around the firewall, grabbed some cardboard for templates and went to fabbing. I was pretty happy with how that turned out, firewall all sealed up again. And did a few other patched. It got a little cold so the undercoat kind of sprayed goopy.. soo.. have to let it dry and go over it again. Next will be seam sealer on firewall and then wheel well. Going to tackle the A pillar area last as i feel like that may be the most headache area for me. But after that is done this will be the last of the rot. I hope.
  23. I don't have any old pictures of the shocks when i replaced them but I'm sure you can see them in some of the photos maybe? They looked really bad just trust me on that lol So let me talk to you about my steering system debacle.. Initially i had thought the steering box was leaking at the pitman arm area as it was wet and the lines didnt look like they were leaking. That and there was play in the shaft too.. so i proceeded to pull the steering box out of that 95 orvis i found. I wanted to pull the one from the 96 but they crushed it(so sad) While i was under my jeep removing things i saw the whole bottom of the power steering pump was soaked too. At that point i had no idea if both had been leaking or the pump was weaping that bad. Either way i was replacing the gearbox anyway and decided to get a new pump. It broke upon removal. Poorly designed remaned reservoir with the low pressure port broke pulling the hose off.. and the high pressure hose didnt want to unscrew. Instead the fitting the line goes into on the pump decided to come loose. Had to take the resevoir off the pump and use an impact gun and adjustable to get the fitting off the line. Hard part over i thought. Fast forward. New remaned pump was drilled out where it was supposed to have threads and all the new remands were like this. Had to go out and get a tap to tap the pump for threads. And had to ream out the brackets for the pump. Get it all back togeher and bleed the system and the pump blows up my gearbox. Later found out the pump had failed right then and there too. Got another steering box and ended up just pulling a pump and brackets from a buddys parts jeep. And its working again!
  24. HERE WE GO AGAIN! the rusting: electric boogaloo 2 After getting the passenger side all but buttoned up, the fender still needs adjusting, liner, and a few bolts but otherwise wheels on the ground and good i proceeded to removing the driver fender which was rusty and bad. And found this.. Here we go again. While i was dreading and processing my findings i decided to change the shock which looked like they had been on the jeep since new, and some of them still worked.. And deal with the power steering system as it had drained out when it had been sitting. That was another debacle...
  25. 21 slot grill and marchal fog lights too! Such rarities! How sad though
