Brown Betty ('86 AMC Eagle)

I might be able to source you a oe radio if you want one -
I would argue that she still is a nice truck! Looks easily fixable! I hope she gets saved

Bernardston auto wrecking owns the jeep 2.5 4 speed 4x4 Odd bunch of options on it for sure! Some good parts still left. Bench seat only had 1 rip. Headliner board was still up there. Skip package?!

I will say, the 2.8 that is in my comanche is not the original one. The original owner got himself a crate 2.8 from gm so it should be a little bit better lol engine sure runs and feels strong so I'm going to be ballsy and see how she likes some forced induction haha And when that engine blows I'm slapping an amc engine in

Fageol supercharger made for the 60 degreee v6 engines! Picked it up for 350. The company is still in business and they still make parts for this. Bearings feel good at least. Supposed to make 5 lbs of boost at 4000 rpm. Looks like Candice is getting boosted! I do plan on giving the motor a freshen up and inspection before I just slap this on though.

Just Towed in Los Angeles

It depends on the state and the yard. Some states and some yards won't send in titles to void. -

Shift solenoids? Have you dropped the pan yet? What's What's fluid look like? -
I have actually seen several pop up for sale or just be in the area. My old boss at my last job had a friend who owned one. Was really nice!

Post a pic of the one you got pete! -
Did this end up happening? I had totally forgotten about his..

I actually had a similar issue with my tach that you have. Tried a few with similar results. I ended up changing one of the chips on the circut board and it started working properly. It's the white chip you can see in one of your photos. I had no idea how or if I could find one new so I ended up pulling a tach from a fiero that actually had a similar configuration and pulled the chip off it and soldered it onto mine.

Money Shift - The Firebird Saga
The86manche replied to Tactical Bacon's topic in Member Projects: Other Cool Stuff
I'm also doing a first gen firebird build! Mines a 69 though. As far as I know the firebird never had a v6? I6 or v8. Either way nice car! -
I believe the s10s of that Era were this. I could be wrong but I don't think so

Swap to AMC V8 or to 3.4 Chev or Firebird?
The86manche replied to Melmoe's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
That is slightly true. Blocks and parts are still a plenty around me here on the east coast. Maybe not a 401, those are harder to find. There was a guy with a stash of 401 blocks out in New York but he wanted around 5k for everything.. which is still a lot of money for just motors.. And if I could help it, I'd definitely try to avoid boring out any engine I put in it. I just like the idea of putting an amc heart in an amc vehicle. -

The86manche replied to Melmoe's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
It might be an endeavor but I'd say slap that 360 in. When 2.8 dies I plan to put a an amc engine in mine. 304/360/ or the rare 401 if I can find one. -
1987 Comanche Center wheel caps
The86manche replied to Michael Posey's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
You will have to supply pictures so we know what center caps you are looking for. There are several 15" aluminum wheel options with different center caps. -
Does that make this the earliest mj found on the forum now?
