  1. Yeah it worked for the most part on the latches. I might need to run them through another time or two to get them really clean. These are just spares I had laying around
  2. 91 would make this an HO. Check engine light on? I know this system still has the CPS on the bell like Renix. I dont much but about 2.5L HO to help out further but to me I would think CPS.
  3. My pot of water has turned brown...
  4. I’m gonna try this
  5. Yeah a 74 amp will do. The only reason why you’d get higher amps is if you’re running more stuff like say fog lamps or a winch or off road lights and need the amps to run them. But I’d just get the highest amp, swap the pulley and call it a day
  6. This has me confused. Are you having a hard time finding an alt as theyre just later GM/Delco Alts. Now if yours is doesnt have AC, yes I can see why your having an issue cause the pulley is different but just take your old pulley off and swap it to the new alt and give them the old alt with the new pulley as the core and move on. If you have AC, finding an alt should be cake.
  7. WOAH!! Like beetle juice. Mentioned diesel MJ 3 times and the myth, the legend appears.
  8. 6 o’clock on the distributor at TDC.
  9. To set the timing if you do a rebuild or change out the distributor.
  10. Id definitely run those wheels. Theyre pretty damn cool and of the era.
  11. Wow, factory bed rails, factory liner, lund visor and spoiler. Damn, thats almost peak 80's.
  12. No it’s not. Timing is controlled by the ECU and ICM. I honestly have no idea if this mod will positively improve the 2.5L or not. I have yet to do this mod. Not sure if I want to really.
  13. Yeah it would be the BA10 but I’ll tell ya, we ain’t gonna crucify ya if you run an AX15
  14. Oh and they were typically 4.0L's. Not sure which trans set ups they had.
  15. 1987. The only year you could get them and usually from a dealer in California.
  16. Only one other person could pull more accurate codes but I haven’t seen him on in a long while. But I honestly wouldn’t look to much I to decoding all the letters. They’re just itemized letters for different specs like others have said. Not like we’re working on ford or GM cars where you’re hard pressed to make your car as it left the factory. We have Jeeps. We can build them how we want.
  17. The order you stated would be the way I’d do it. You can tilt a triangle easier than a square in such a small space.
  18. This reminds me of my 84 where it doesn’t have the bolt to keep it in place but it has a spring tab on the lock to keep it in place.
  19. Yikes. Love it when folks don’t even try to use the right tool to get something off. Oh well. Hopefully you get it off. If not there’s still a line out there that’s made.
  20. Lol! As for the brake system bypass, I’ve heard it’s as simple as connecting the lines together. But don’t quote me as I still have mine operating.
  21. Hahahaha hell yeah!! Love it when it’s that simple. You should’ve seen me trying to figure out my issue on a running yet dying fuel pump.
  22. Yeah the socks are one of those it either fits nicely or it doesn’t. Zip ties come in clutch here. But that could be your problem along with a rotting hose. Combine the two and you’ll have that pump struggling to send fuel up with the sock creating a clog, the junk and that line just being almost rope again.
  23. Clean tank! If that sock fell off from whoever last toyed with it as they put it in, I can see it getting clogged up.
