  1. Yes. All the fusible links meet at the starter relay for power. There could be possible corrosion there as well
  2. Have you looked at the electrical manual yet?
  3. Yes you would need to. But I think you should be able to probe the fuse too just to see if there is power there. Chances are there probably is power there. If not then there’s something between the fuse block and the battery that’s not sending power to the head lamps. Speaking of power to head lamps, have you added one of those relay harnesses yet to your MJ?
  4. Yes it is. Trans fuse if yours is a manual controls only the reverse lights and nothing else. Gauge fuse does what it does and that’s the gauges. Check that one just to be safe but I don’t think AMC wired the lights into that circuit. Have you checked for power at the headlamp switch?
  5. Have you checked all your fuses? Sounds like it could just simply be a blown fuse. Also congrats on getting your MJ back!
  6. Pete that one looks like it ought to fit in perfectly with the header. I’ll shoot you a PM when I can.
  7. I just pulled a set on Monday that I’m gonna sell.
  8. Turbines seem to be the quintessential look for any XJ or MJ. They stopped making the turbines in 90. Now I have the turbines on the XJ and they don’t look good, but they need white wall tires to look good on an XJ. For an MJ, straight black will look good or even a thing white wall line will help there too. I have the Jeep 5 spoke on my MJ and I like those, I grew up seeing those on every XJ and YJ I saw including the Jurassic park YJs.
  9. Not a common headrest. Usually found in the upper trims. Lol for the AC probably. I always thought the same thing when I’ve seen pics of them. I think folks out there are after them for that 80’s look. I haven’t seen many for sale so I can’t tell you what they have been going for. Probably could get $100 I’d imagine.
  10. I feel NOS would insult the rest of the parts on the header hahaha. I’m not looking for perfect as I just realized the grill is missing a small piece.
  11. Love my long bed. Glad I’ve never had a short bed haha. Never failed me for loading a lot of crap. I can’t think of any downsides at all to owning one except if you’re going from short to long, you’ll need to be extra mindful of how much length you have now when backing out and parking. Other than that they’re just as fun as a short.
  12. That’s awesome! Happy to revive some memories for ya. I appreciate your help!
  13. Thankd Pete. Let me know and schardein I just need the bezel for the headlamp and signal. I have the side marker surprisingly but couldn’t find the bezel anywhere near the Jeep.
  14. Yeah that’s the one I’m referring to. The one that sits next to the grill and surrounds both headlamp and turn signal lamp and extends to the side marker. Unless you’re thinking of the side marker one or the retainer ring for the headlamp itself? Yup most folks do but that’s what I get for being in the parts department for so long haha.
  15. Plain Jane XJ. Doesn’t have to be incredibly pristine but the XJ I pulled the whole header from was a gorgeous 89 Laredo and the chrome from what I can tell had hardly and issues.
  16. Ahhh crap. Didn’t mean to read this post. I’ll get. A build sheet when I can.
  17. Odd request I know but I found a header panel and it’s missing the drivers side headlamp bezel. Anywho I am after one to make the panel complete and I’m gonna be a stickler but it’s gotta be genuine AMC bezel. No crown or aftermarket please.
  18. Did you look over all the mounts by chance? You could have good fronts but a terrible rear mount. I noticed bell of a difference when I replaced my rear trans mount.
  19. Found me a set of these to go in Chunk. Very happy with the find.
  20. @pago cruiser is down there to the east of Tucson. He’s not sellin but it’s another MJ guy down there.
  21. Sad day for the firebird but not for Jeeps hahaha! I scored good Jeep parts and will be going back due to some requests. But the fire bird was picked clean. Like it might as well have been a shell. And they didn’t have Camaros of the same gen so that was a bummer. But it had good front fascia but i don't know about the rear. It looked like a good solid car that should still be on the road.
  22. Damn. Need this for my XJ.
  23. Fun fact, only 84-86 XJ and 86 MJ are locked to a group 58 battery unless you change the battery tray out for the newer style.
  24. What Pete said about mopar t-stat and group 34 for the battery. Preferably mopar there too.
