The retainers that sit in the front fascia are GM grill retainers that can be found easily and cheap.

Well while I waited for my wife to nap I decided it was time to do a little addition. Added the Renix 2.5L bottle and 86 specific air cleaner. Doing the bottle was a cake walk compared to the cleaner bracket. Getting the cleaner positioned with the bracket and marking one hole to drill and get a screw in for precise fitment. But I’m happy with where they sit. Currently my issue is the power steering lines and where they meet the preheater hose but i don't know if I am gonna use such yet or not. Currently my main focus is to put the front portion of the interior together ever so delicately.

I’d give the flywheel a light sanding with 1000 grit and don't press hard while sanding, just let it lightly do the work and it should come out looking good. I’d put out a want ad for these flywheels but it’s also not a clean job to get to either.

Not likely any out there who make this flywheel. You might have to find a used one and at the rate people just toss the 2.5L for the 4.0, there’s a good chance that a second hand flywheel is in great shape still. I lightly sanded mine with 1000grit and it came out fine. What you really need to look for is if the clutch discs worn down the metal on the fly wheel or not to a noticeable point.

We are talking about 10 years difference in tech hahaha. ECU controls most of that stuff vs the crude circuit board with a single logic chip in a box.

Yes it is supposed to do this. If you press the set button and set it and say you need to drop to a lower speed, you hold the button until you get to the desired speed and it will set. But if you wan to set a new acceleration, use the switch and then press the button and it should set too. But still a neat function.

Has anyone replaced the rear stationary glass channel on the rear door of an XJ with something close to the original? Or have any recommendations?

You’ll need to keep playing with the pots in the control until you get it dialed in. That’s how they did it back then. Once your comfortable with where the adjustments are, send it.

Different t-cases. One is selec-trac which is always in 4wd operation by the small lever on the console(not the shift handle) and the 207 is just like the 231 but less vacuum stuff.

According to the catalog, it is present. probably mostly on 86-87s. Knowing Chrysler they probably stopped the command-trac and said its probably excessive for just 4wd set ups. Well that being said, they didnt do such for selec-trac either for after 87. Pete, I think I have one to spare.
