  1. That looks great ... perfect actually! I'm not sure if there is a Keystone facility near me. To be honest I haven't heard of them. At >$150 US (>$197 CDN to me) that's a lot. If you're supplying cores they must be refinishing wheels. Do you know how they do it?
  2. I agree. I don't know if you can even get new wheels, other than steel, for a modern car for $100 or so. Obviously you can't get Turbines! I know you can get MOAB replicas, and they're good, but they cost more than it did to refinish these ones.
  3. First off, all I did to restore these was to drop them off and pick them up ... and find the right place to do it of course. I had been looking for a set of Turbines for my '88 Eliminator since I bought it just over 3+ years ago. They're hard to find around here for some reason. A Kijiji listing came up about a month ago and for $100 CDN (about $75 US) I picked up a set of 4 that were in rough shape. I took them to a local wheel refinishing shop (Carcone's in Aurora, Ontario if anyone is close by and interested) and what they did was ... media blast them / paint them silver / machine the originally polished surfaces in a lathe just enough to remove the pits / powder coat them with clear. The cost for this was $125 CDN (about $95 US) per wheel. I've had rough MOAB wheels powder coated for $100 CDN ea. so this seemed quite reasonable. Here's how they turned out and if anyone has a lead on a set of caps, I'd be interested in them.
  4. I seem to use mine a lot to pick up parts for my other 3 Jeeps. It's also good for kayaking day trips.
  5. I have the same cleats on my MJ. I bought it from a guy that was big into boats and always thought that that is where he got them from. I have a bungie cargo net and they do come in handy when I use it. I took them off when I had the bed Linexed and quickly put them back on. I've kind of gotten used to the look. Be careful though; it's easy to catch your shirt on them. Sorry that I don't have a close up pic of them ...

    SWB Roll Bar

That's what I did. I bought a rough '88 Eliminator that was almost identical to mine. I removed the sports bar and the brackets, a perfect pair of seats, the original Eliminator wheels and a period correct JVC radio. it also came with a never used factory tonneau with all of the mounting hardware in the original bag with the instructions. I sold it with suitable seats, wheels and radio replacements and made $200. The guy was happy as hell to get it. I have a second SWB sports bar that I got for $250 CDN. It's rough but I can weld in a short section of tube or a patch at the base of the hoop on one side to restore it. It's otherwise good but I don't have the brackets for it. I'm sure the price would double with a bit of work.
  7. I have Grote LED headlamps on my MJ & XJ. They're great lights and are "sort of" original looking. I also installed the relay harnesses mentioned above. https://www.amazon.ca/Grote-90951-5-Sealed-Beam-Headlights/dp/B00QB0CCU4/ref=sr_1_6?crid=3CG6IY733G3HB&dchild=1&keywords=grote+led+headlights&qid=1599738133&sprefix=grote+%2Caps%2C181&sr=8-6
  8. We do. I replaced my tires today. I had the Firestone Destination AT's that I mentioned above. They were P215/75/15's and apart from the size I had I liked them. I replaced them with Motomaster Total Terrain AT3's. They are 235/75/15's M+S LT tires. Both sets were/are on the original MJ 10 hole 7" aluminum wheels. My suspension is stock and I like the look (I will post a pic tomorrow) and so far I like the ride ... all 40 minutes of it! lol Motomaster won't mean much outside of Canada. It's Canadian Tire's house brand for tires, batteries, parts, etc. The Total Terrain AT3's have the same tread and sidewall as Cooper Discoverer ATP's. I put a set on my tear drop trailer (same size) and I like them so I thought I'd try them on my MJ. They get good reviews from guys with much larger trucks than ours and they're cheap - $117 CDN on sale, which is about 1 week in every four. https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/tires/pdp/motomaster-total-terrain-a-t3-tire-0051004p.html
  9. The fellow I got them from said that they were part of a set but wasn't sure about the details or if there were more supplements. I just looked at the student reference book on fuel injection and it actually has a 1990 copyright date and refers to engines used (or about to be) in 1991 Jeeps (XJ, MJ & YJ) so it's not part of the set. He just wanted to get rid of everything and for $25 total I didn't waste time asking questions!
  10. I just picked up these 1989 manuals. I was familiar with the "Engine, Chassis & Body" and "Electrical" manuals (I have the 1990 editions too) but not the others which are much thinner at from about 30 to 100 pages. The smaller ones make me wonder if there are others in the set.
  11. I've almost finished an off road trailer and have just started doing the body and paint on my LJ. It's hard to tell from these pics but the trailer is the same grey as the LJ.
  12. I know what you mean. I recently figured out that the next set of tires on each of my vehicles will pretty much take me up to when I'll need to start taking my driver's exam again!
  13. Same here and they're great. I have 215/75R/15's on my '88 Eliminator 2WD with stock suspension, 3.55 gears and the original wheels. It flies (in Jeep terms) but they look a bit puny. I'm likely going up to 235's and would consider the same tires.
  14. The worst is yet to come. You're going to be up for half of tonight thinking about the parts you didn't get.
  15. derf - I'm far from being a guru but I just finished painting an off-road trailer with single stage enamel and am happy with the results. I used Tremclad which is a Rustoleum product. My thinking is the same as yours - it's going to get beat up and I'm going to have to fix it from time to time. I used an inexpensive gun from Princess Auto (like Harbor Freight) and bought the paint at Canadian Tire (cheap!). I cut it with mineral spirits. You can play around with the mix but I went with 4 parts paint to 1 part reducer. I also added about a half part of hardener (ProForm from Car Quest). I painted it outside under a 10'x20' canopy. I'm currently painting my LJ which should turn out the same. If not ... I'll do it again!

I think it would be closer to what are generally called community teams in the US. In Canada we have Provincial Sports Associations that organize and govern sport. The Ontario Lacrosse Association for example has Zones across the Province and municipalities within them that have their own clubs. The clubs are non-profit community owned and compete against each other and against other teams from other Zones in tournaments and ultimately against all teams at the end of the season for Provincial Championships. That's generally how it works for 4 to 16 yr. olds. There are 3 main leagues for 17 to 21 yr. olds called Jr. A, B & C and in each league the teams are from across the Province. Above that for 22 to ?? yr. olds there is Senior A & B. There are National Championships for all but Jr. C. The Mann Cup, which is solid gold, goes back to 1910 and is for the Senior A, or "Major", National Champion. There is also the National Lacrosse League (NLL) which has teams across the US & Canada. Here's an example of what that's all about. Most of the players grew up in the Canadian Lacrosse Association although several have come from the US Field game. Field Lacrosse in Canada is organized in generally the same way as the above but it is also gaining popularity at the High School and University levels. Regarding the photos, I can get them to appear by left clicking on the .pdf icon and then left clicking on "open" when it appears at the bottom of my screen. I might just be getting lucky though! lol
  17. Bob McKenzie (Rick Moranis) used to be a DJ on Chum FM in Toronto before his Bob & Doug days. He used to do all kinds of imitations and one of his funniest characters, I thought, was Geetz Romo. One day he opened his wallet (on radio) to show another DJ a picture of his family and said … "This is my wife and this is my dog. Sorry, THIS is my wife and this my dog".

Thanks! I have lot of them but none from back then are game shots. I'm in the back row second from the right and I was just coming up to 10. My Brother, just coming up to 8, is beside me on end and our Father, the Coach, is right behind us. Here's one from 1972, ten years later, when we were playing in the Ontario Provincial League. Sorry but it's another .pdf. I'm in the front row third from the left and again my Brother was beside me on my left. You can see PCO on my sweater and 6 on my sleeve so hence … PCO6. btw … we were NOT the champions that year. lol This by the way was BOX Lacrosse vs. FIELD Lacrosse which is much more popular in the US. Both countries have caught on to each others specialties over the years but both retain their favourite version of the game. I coached both versions and, although quite different games, the basic skills are the same … pass, catch, run and keep your head up so you don't get clobbered. Unfortunately all but a few of the National and Provincial seasons (and the remaining ones will be) have been cancelled this year due to the virus. 1972 - Mississauga PCO - Jr B.pdf
  19. I drove mine 200 miles round trip to pick up a restorable rear bumper. It ran great!

The oldest one I have is from 1962, which would have been my 3rd yr. I only have a .pdf of it - hope it turns out. 1962 - Clarkson Novice B.pdf

I've been involved in the sport of lacrosse for the last 60 years. Mine is the last team I played for and my sweater number.
  24. Thanks Blue XJ. This job has been worse than fixing many vehicles that I've owned. The previous home owner built this basement bathroom back in the '70s and his techniques were "unusual". It took more work to wreck it than it has been to rebuild it.
